my babyliss big hair has packed in. It was never my favourite as I had many moments of pulled hair. But it did tame my frizz somewhat. Hoping that in the last 5 years something new and better has been invented!

Dyson airwrap and the colour wow dreamcoat are my holy grail frizz tamers.

Dyson air wrap

Parlux hairdryer and an ionic barrel hairbrush. Better than my AirWrap.

Dyson air wrap

Revlon One Step, large oval barrel that doesn’t rotate, gives me a sleeker look than the Babyliss Big Hair (which could make things a bit bouffant if I wasn’t careful)

ChilliPB · 29/12/2023 08:38

The Dyson Supersonic and the flyaway attachment gives me lovely sleek, shiny hair.

interesting To see two votes for Dyson air wrap. I actually find this creates frizz in my nature because of all the blowing.

I had hair Botox and that was the best thing I’ve tried! Highly recommend

HelenHerriott · 29/12/2023 08:41

Dyson air wrap is a game changer

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 29/12/2023 09:33

Revlon one step, just use it as a styler, dry your hair first and finish with the Revlon.

SteamingTangerine · 29/12/2023 09:39

I love my Revlon One Step, it's much better than the BabyLiss Big Hair I used to have.

Oooh - what is hair Botox??

Rosiiee · 29/12/2023 09:42

Following! I look like a wild animal with my hair out so it’s always clipped back.

Surely there’s something more affordable than Dyson 😬

decemberwasshit · 29/12/2023 09:44

Revlon one step brush. I bought it after it was recommended on here!

Rosiiee · 29/12/2023 09:46

@decemberwasshit is it a hairdryer and brush as the same time? As in can you use it on wet hair?

Express0 · 29/12/2023 09:47

Air wrap

FrogSplash · 29/12/2023 09:47

I love my Shark Smooth Style. No frizz and much less faff than having a dryer and then straightening.

YorkieTheRabbit · 29/12/2023 09:53

I bought the Revlon one step back in summer. I have the Babyliss big hair but was never that keen.
The Revlon one is far better, my hair tends to go fluffy/frizzy if it’s not properly smoothed when drying. I rough dry it with a normal hairdryer until 80% dry then finish it with the Revlon.

Karwomannghia · 29/12/2023 09:56

I recommend buying some castor oil and adding a couple of drops in with conditioner, it makes your hair softer and easier to style.

decemberwasshit · 29/12/2023 09:58

@Rosiiee yes it's a hairdryer in the shape of a round brush. I watched a few YouTube tutorials when I bought it to learn the technique but it's pretty easy. 9 times out of 10 I don't need to use my hair straighteners after drying now. My hair is much smoother and with a bit of bounce/volume.

changefromhr · 29/12/2023 09:59

What is your hair type OP? This is important information if you want an appropriate recommendation. Google "fine my hair type".

caffelatte100 · 29/12/2023 10:17

For thick and unruly hair, I rate the L'oreal Steampod mainly for taming my unruly locks. The associated products go with it really well.
I haven't used the Dyson hair wrap so don't know how it would compare to that. Does anyone know?

Revlon One Step

MrsPatrickDempsey · 29/12/2023 10:25

Depending on your hair style and what look you want I love the ghd duet. Its pricey but does exactly what it claims to do.
I didn't get on with the Dyson but have both the babyliss and revlon which I use for more bounce. I prefer the babyliss but it's
not as easy to use as the revlon.
