Make me look less shite

Help - just as the thread says how do I look less looney and shite?

I need to lose weight. I'm on it. I'll be 41 in a couple of weeks and feel it. My hair is always in a bun and very grey at top but too dark at the bottom. My face looks spongy. I look just a bit crap. Name changed for this but give me recommendations on what you would do if you were me.

I'm scared of going short with my hair as it's curly and don't know how to control t 🙈

I saw the photo before it was taken down. If you’re still around OP, I think you have amazing skin. You have lovely regular features and I’m jealous of your full lips. What’s letting things down is your hair. I don’t mean that in a mean way. I think you have similar hair to me and when mine is pulled back in a bun like that, it doesn’t look great, doesn’t frame my face and really ages me. My hair is also greying and I’m a similar age. I’m certain that if your hair was coloured a richer brown and styled well, you would look beyond sensational. Not that I ever look sensational, but I know the enormous difference it makes when I do my hair.

I would suggest trying some Facebook groups for advice and learning a bit about product ingredients and have a go at styling it curly. You don’t need to spend much to get started. If you want me to talk more on this, let me know.

Agree with others that a bit of work on your eyebrows would also make a big difference. Not criticising there- mine are always in a state of disarray.

Eyebrows are a pain as you age, they go a bit thinner and paler. I’m dark and considering a tint 🤔

I'm taking notes though - definitely need to do something with the eyebrows and hair, and probably learn to like myself a bit better as well.
