I like the cream and i like the navy. I can't decide which one though or weather to bother at all!

Would they be ok with opaques and just above the knee knitted dresses ect.?
OK with skinny jeans?

I'm 50. Good legs. Unsure of style!

It's worth clicking the link 'cos they look quite different in colours other than the black. I think.

Only in black, I don't like the cream or navy, sorry

NashvilleQueen · 18/12/2023 13:13

Something about them (the heel I'm assuming) feels dated. They're a bit late-1990s.

Comedycook · 18/12/2023 13:15

I only like them in the black...but generally I'm not keen on a heel like that. I prefer totally flat for boots or a higher heel....

I'm afraid i think that's where i'm stuck 😂

I'm just reading the 'Mumsy boot thread'.

There is no right or wrong is there. I can see that now.

In my heart i want the cream ones. But i would have no clue what to wear them with. That's the problem 🙁

The navy would be easier. I think the black is boring. sigh.

Buy the cream. 90s is fashionable and the price is pretty good for boots.
Get some protector on them because they are light coloured but I reckon you'll wear them lots.

LadyBird1973 · 18/12/2023 14:01

I think sometimes we just have to adjust our thinking to wear things that aren't in dark colours, if that's what we've always done.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 18/12/2023 14:06

I always think these white/cream boots look like you’re off to your shift at the abattoir.

Laiste · 18/12/2023 14:06

((hugs)) @LadyBird1973 😊

You're right about the light colour adjustment. I'm so sick of safe black.

But it IS safe ... 😫

The question Id ask myself is what would I wear them with? Am I going to be able to pick up that colour elsewhere in my outfit. I’m currently wearing quite a lot of black and I quite want some cream boots to lift that look a bit.
I do find that size of heel a bit too high for walking around all day in, so that might be something to consider.

NoelleNameChange · 18/12/2023 14:17

I quite like them. They aren't edgy / trendy, but not everyone dresses like that. They look like inoffensive little boots with a bit of a heel. I'm not in love with them but I do quite like them

Laiste · 18/12/2023 14:27

Thank you both.

Maybe with black jeans and a chunky cream jumper?

What would you wear cream boots with @narniabusiness ? Are you a wide leg trouser person? Long skirts? Short skirts?

So, I have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years now. When we first got together we talked about marriage and starting a family. I just had a baby 3 months ago and I’ve always wanted to do marriage first but this was unexpectedly. Then it was my suggestion to go look at rings and get our fingers sized so we had an idea of what we both liked and this was when I found out I was pregnant. At the time he told me he wasn’t ready for marriage and yet I wasn’t ready to be a mother but here I am. He still hasn’t proposed to me and Im not exactly to sure what to think.

IsThePopeCatholic · 18/12/2023 14:47

I don’t like plastic boots - but then I’m not vegan.

LyingLikeACheapCarpet · 18/12/2023 14:49

I am that bored! But I'm glad I came across as the abattoir comment is hilarious, and now I shall always think that.

This isn't my neck of the woods, I think I've only been on S&B once and that was for the Suzi Quattro's fat nan thread.

So probably a worthless input but I dislike the white (all a bit Pretty Woman) and the black are ugly and clumpy imo, but I really like the navy which somehow makes them not look clumpy.

Laiste · 18/12/2023 14:52

@Jsw2111 If he hasn't proposed I think he's not ready for marriage, and you need to be prepared to stand firmly on your own two feet at this stage. I would be forgetting the romantic version now - tell him outright that you'd like to be married now please because you are a family. It doesn't have to be expensive. See what he says.

Congrats on your baby Flowers

I don't like them at all, in any colour. The soles are clunkier than I would wear and I don't like block heels.

The clunky soles look odd with the high heels. Heeled boots aren't a practical boot so why the heavy duty sole? Heavy duty soles are practical so why the high heel?

I don't like faux zips either. Best thing about them is they are vegan, which is a plus.

If I were to wear them it would be with a mid calf to ankle length dresses or skirts. I'd go full on little house on the prairie, but the heels are wrong for that style. I have one long, mad dress which I need to wear heeled boots with but those boots wouldn't be right with those soles.

Laiste · 18/12/2023 14:54

@LyingLikeACheapCarpet thank you! 😁 Glad you came!

I'm thinking the navy would be a good compromise as well actually. Not as tricky as the cream.

S&B can be really funny sometimes. Especially the M&S ones. I remember the Suzie Q thread too.

I like the grey/earth ones! No one else has mentioned them but I don't think I've imagined them... Have I?

I love a grey boot to be honest. I have grey boots and oxblood coloured boots and between them there's basically no outfit they won't go with.

Mornusting · 18/12/2023 15:00

I don't like them because they look dirty esp in the lighter colours but then they are plastic.

LyingLikeACheapCarpet · 18/12/2023 15:05

Humour I like, maybe I should venture on here a but more often.

@IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle is correct about the soles and I now find it amusing that the sole would be heavy duty enough to kick down a newly planted tree.

BluebellsForest · 18/12/2023 15:05

I really like them, but not in black. Although I hadn't realised they are synthetic until a pp said.

Laiste · 18/12/2023 15:06

@DenyDenyLieTillYouDie Oh yes! You know i didn't notice that.

I saw them 'in real life' in black, blue and cream. I don't think the grey was there ...

They're really comfy by the way! All velvety inside.
