I like the cream and i like the navy. I can't decide which one though or weather to bother at all!

Would they be ok with opaques and just above the knee knitted dresses ect.?
OK with skinny jeans?

I'm 50. Good legs. Unsure of style!

Humour I like, maybe I should venture on here a but more often.

@IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle is correct about the soles and I now find it amusing that the sole would be heavy duty enough to kick down a newly planted tree.

proper lol 😅

But yeah they're vegan ....

Personally it doesn't sway me either way to be honest 🤔

Shodan · 18/12/2023 15:13

I like all of the colours, but the black is my least favourite.

I reckon the chunky soles would mitigate the height of the heel and therefore would make them comfortable enough for every day.

I am not in the least saying all of this because I want to get some myself. Ho no.

(disclaimer: I am in no way fashionable/stylish/trendy so any advice given should be taken at your own risk)

NashvilleQueen · 18/12/2023 15:14

Would you consider white/cream dr martens?

FayCarew · 18/12/2023 15:30

I don't like them, but you like the cream ones so get them.
Thanks for being kind to the stray poster.

Snorkmaidenn · 18/12/2023 15:37

If you have good legs these boots won't show them off one bit. They might look okay with wide leg trousers but they won't balance well with skinny jeans. All people will see is the boots and not the entire outfit. If you really want a platform, go for a knee length that will blend in to your dress. If you want a statement ankle boot, a flatter DM boot looks better.

F1ymetothetoon · 18/12/2023 16:27

I quite like them in the blue colour but I'm just an old fat frumpy arse so what the fuck would I know 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dee1224 · 18/12/2023 16:48

Hi @Laiste - I too have followed from where I was lurking on the weird tree thread🤣.

I quite like the look of these, as I have PF in one foot and now need both a heel and a platform thick enough that I can walk in said heel😱.

I prefer the navy - it looks ‘fake’ leather, but in a deliberate way, if that makes sense!

On a related note: Heavenly Feet have awful reviews on TP. Have you bought from them before? It’s a lot of money for something that might not last very long.

KissTheRains · 18/12/2023 17:18

I like the Ecru colour.
But I'm kinda tall so I couldn't wear them, I'd get drafted for the NBA.. 🤣

I think they'd look great out in the world though. Maybe jeans with a raw hem? Or a little turn in on a straight pair.
Not sure they'd go with a dress, but I think the right woman and dress they'd rock em.

Fraaahnces · 18/12/2023 17:50

Navy boots are for nursing homes, I’m sorry. They’re not my style I have to be honest. The black is the only colour I would consider

narniabusiness · 18/12/2023 18:00

Laiste · 18/12/2023 14:27

Thank you both.

Maybe with black jeans and a chunky cream jumper?

What would you wear cream boots with @narniabusiness ? Are you a wide leg trouser person? Long skirts? Short skirts?

I’m a wide leg trouser person 90% of the time so I would wear with black trousers and cream jumper like you were thinking. Or if I went all black I would throw on a cream scarf and beanie combo. They might work with a knitted dress but I prefer knee high boots with a midi dress or denim midi skirt.
I already have 8 pairs of boots so I’m not really in the market for any more. But a girl can dream ….

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 18/12/2023 18:40

My SiL gets a lot of shoes from Heavenly Feet. They never look quite right, and they don't last particularly long.

On the other hand I have a colleague who wears white patent DMs and they look amazing.

Laiste · 18/12/2023 20:39

Oh, thanks all :)
@Shodan i know what you mean - and they were comfy in the shop ... 😊

@NashvilleQueen when other women wear dm's they look great. I've been encouraged to try them on in the past - those people have then looked me up and down with a head tilt and said ''You're right - DMs are NOT you Laiste'' 😂

Hi @Dee1224 from the tree thread 🤗 I've not read the reviews. That;s not
like me. Oh ... bugger.

@FayCarew i'm really hoping stray poster has made her own thread and got some good advice.

@narniabusiness I'm loving the wide trousers at the mo as well. But i've not found footwear i'm happy with in them. Apart from a pair of high strapy silver sandals with a pure silk floaty pair on an evening out last month. But i can't do Tesco in silver sandals sadly 😂

@IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads oh dear, you're backing up what the reviews say there. sigh. DMs = fab on everyone else, weird on me.

OP posts:
Laiste · 18/12/2023 20:41

Maybe i'll go back and have another try on. On a less busy day than last time. I might even find the grey ... 😃

If i'm not thinking about them tomorrow morning it's a sign i don't want them as much as i thought i did!

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 18/12/2023 21:27

DMs = fab on everyone else, weird on me.

DMs didn't look right on me either.

dudsville · 19/12/2023 09:31

I prefer the cream ones op, i think they look nice and are the best of the options and it's a good looking boot. I think the blue would be much harder to wear. Fwiw i have a pair of cream coloured boots. It took me a while to build up the courage to wear them. I felt like i may as well have been shouting "hey everyone, look at my feet, there they are, look!!!" Reality is that they do go with a lot, but i don't wear them with other bright colours, like oranges etc.

mewkins · 19/12/2023 09:56

NashvilleQueen · 18/12/2023 13:13

Something about them (the heel I'm assuming) feels dated. They're a bit late-1990s.

I like the black ones because they're a bit 90s!
