My daughter is 13 (14 in March) and she'd wear it with a cropped jumper (that she, not me, chose) and tights with a max of 70d!
She likes short skirts, but they have to be cargo style or checked.

Band T or cropped jumper are great ideas thanks. I wanted to get her an outfit but you're right @MillarMountVandal she probs would want to pick herself (I'm confident she'll like the skirt). Maybe I'll steal one if her dad's band t-shirts and put it in the wrapping since that's what she'll must likely wear with it anyway now you mention it @Britpopbaby!

I’m not a teenager but depends on her style, I styled silver trousers with a new grey pocket jumper from Zara.

But agree that band t shirt or cropped jumper is good. From any of her favourite shops.

If you want to get a more luxe version then ask what she wants. At that age I was dictated to by DM’s choices but as soon as I was 17 and had own money I traded up in what I wore.

It’s so funny on tube yday and youngsters all in cargo pants/cargo skirts. Brings me back to
1990s All Saints (band!) style.

My kids said 'what was it like to actually be in the 90s?' the other day. Threw me a bit I must say. Er, like actually being here now only with less achy joints?!

Cropped jumper and/or cropped t shirt. Strappy tops ("going out" tops of 15+ years ago) are back in so perhaps one of them but if I was feeling adventurous I would go with a cropped corset top

I did wear a skirt like that with a sleeveless tank top with tights and Converse & with no tights, strapped heels and a cami. Doubt my arm would fit in now!

It's right on trend OP, good choice of skirt. I walked past a teen in cargo jeans the other day, I did a double take. It's always funny when fashions come back round.

Cropped halter neck or ribbed bralette. Basically something that covers as little as possible while being just plausible as an item of clothing. 😁

@grass67 Agree it's fun seeing the styles of my teen years everywhere again though I do have to fight the urge to foist nice cardis on them.

Nice cardis, no teen is a wearing coat, let alone a cardi😁 I hate the trend for the cropped stuff TBH, teens are often not as slim as they were😳

I do think the cargo pant is much better than the trend for baggy joggers. Obviously I conveniently forget my shell suits 😂

Having looked at Bershka and Zara, it seems to be fine to pair a bling item with a non bling item so I’d go for the style she likes. Bershka has some metallic corsets if you are interested.

In my defence, I bought it on vinted for dd and it was so big as it’s oversized that I kept it for me.

I forgot to say those cropped jumpers with the holes in them are also bang on trend.

@newusern99 band t-shirt just means a t-shirt for a music band. My daughter is wearing a Nirvana one today.
