Who LOVES their hairdryer and would like to recommend it to me?!

My Parlux 3000 was spitting sparks at me this morning. It's about 10years old but I thought I'd have got longer out of it.

I need to buy one for weekend delivery. Tempted to buy same again as I hate decision making when there's so much choice...

So unless you've a hairdryer that you highly recommend...?!

I just got one of the new Parlux Alyon. Love it. Even more powerful and looks all shiny and nice

swayingstreetlamp · 07/12/2023 18:51

No recommendations but bumping because I also want a new one! Specifically I want:
Fast
Not too heavy
(Ideally) Not too loud

I love my Parlux. It’s lightweight and it blasts my hair dry and smooth in less than 5 minutes.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 07/12/2023 18:55

It's time for another Parlux Alyon lovers' thread (with the occasional 'I love my Babyliss')...

It's light.
It's quiet. And you can make it even quieter.
It's fast.

My hairdresser uses this on me, I'm definitely getting one next, it's light, quiet, fast, easy buttons for heat/power change and the handle is in a great place so it's balanced.

Am I your hairdresser?! 😂 No but seriously I’m a hairdresser and use this one, it’s brilliant and comes with different covers so mine is pink 💖

Neriah · 07/12/2023 19:03

You know, I bought a Tresseme and guess what - it dries hair perfectly and is a fraction of the price of most others....

I’m interested in this, my hairdresser recommended a Varis (that’s the one she uses) but it’s over £200. It looks very similar to this, though.

Does it come with a nozzle? That’s a must-have for me!

Quebeccles · 07/12/2023 19:10

Sorry, just seen that it does have 2 nozzles, ignore me ….

DeathStarCanteenGal · 07/12/2023 19:11

just bought a shark hairdryer in black friday and I love it
I have thick hair, and this dries it much faster than the ancient one I had, and is much quieter

Rina66 · 07/12/2023 19:12

The nozzle is very clever @Quebeccles because it's wider than standard ones, so is the length of a brush hence drying all of the hair on the brush, genius!

Well, whatever you do, don't get a Dyson - AWFUL!

dohgouse · 07/12/2023 19:18

Dyson

mrssanchez · 07/12/2023 19:18

I've got the Dyson Airwrap and the hairdryer on that is amazing, dries and takes my thick frizzy hair in half the time. It's nice and light too, I absolutely love it.

ChuckMater · 07/12/2023 19:19

I love my dyson airwrap

LardoBurrows · 07/12/2023 19:22

I have a Parlux and love it. It's powerful, light and leaves my naturally frizzy hair lovely and smooth with minimal styling.

SkyFullofStars1975 · 07/12/2023 19:23

I've got a Dyson hairdryer and can't believe how much it's improved the texture of my wiry/coarse grey hair. Worth every penny.

avocadotofu · 07/12/2023 19:24

Another Parlux lover here. I've had mine for ages and it dries my think hair really quickly and leaves it super shiny.

ButterfliesandMoths · 07/12/2023 19:30

I wanted a new hairdryer with a long lead... opted for the Remington D3190. I have waist length hair and it's great. Had it over a year now & I love it. Half price on Amazon at the moment 😊

EveWinter · 07/12/2023 19:30

Parlux here too. Love it. I’d just buy another one if it broke.

albaalba351 · 07/12/2023 19:31

I also have a Dyson Airwrap and love it. Dries my long waist-length hair in no time and makes it silky smooth.

thedamnseason · 07/12/2023 19:37

I was just using the Dyson airwrap attachment for a while but needed a diffuser so now have the hairdryer too. I love it.

What!? My Dyson has been a total game changer. The texture of my hair is so much smoother, it no longer needs straightening and I can dry it in about 15 mins.

Gwenhwyfar · 07/12/2023 20:04

Just bought a Panasonic, but also just started using K18 so not sure which one is making the difference.
My previous dryer was ionic and it's better than random ones I've used.
