Who LOVES their hairdryer and would like to recommend it to me?!

My Parlux 3000 was spitting sparks at me this morning. It's about 10years old but I thought I'd have got longer out of it.

I need to buy one for weekend delivery. Tempted to buy same again as I hate decision making when there's so much choice...

So unless you've a hairdryer that you highly recommend...?!

Another one who loves their Dyson here, sold my GHD one and replaced with it after trying my MILs

Netherlandsfirst · 07/12/2023 20:34

I'm on my second Nicky Clarke 2200W frizz control hairdryer. It's £33 on Amazon. Quick and hot and a really long cord

catchmewhenifall · 07/12/2023 20:35

I think the trouble is I have dead straight hair and tge dyson basically knotted it up into dreadlocks!

backonthemerrygoround · 07/12/2023 20:36

Also dyson - game changer and I own every device ever. Just the hairdryer though.

loadypoady · 07/12/2023 20:41

Another Dyson supersonic lover here.
Ive also just bought the shark speedstyle but not a fan so I am passing it onto my daughter.

Riverstep · 07/12/2023 20:42

Another vote for Dyson here 🤣

hidethexylophone · 07/12/2023 20:46

Another Dyson lover here too! I never particularly wanted one, it was a surprise present from my DH, but it's great. I never have to straighten my hair anymore, it leaves it so smooth and shiny. I just have the standard hairdryer, not the air wrap.

RoséProsecco · 07/12/2023 20:56

Parlux 385 power light - love it

Vettrianofan · 07/12/2023 21:03

£15 hairdryer out of Lidl.

EverythingLouderThanEverythingElse · 07/12/2023 21:10

I had a Dyson and hated it. Cheapy Babyliss suits my hair much better, I'd never buy an expensive hairdryer again.

Dippydinosaurus · 07/12/2023 21:22

Parlux but not sure which model. It's 14 years old and still as good as new. Gets used twice a day on mine and DDs hair

Alrueb · 07/12/2023 21:24

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hairdryer WITHOUT Ionic technology?? I started my own thread but didn't get any replies xx

Moveoverdarlin · 07/12/2023 21:27

I’ve had a Dyson for 8 years. It’s fine, but not worth the money IMO. If I go out, I revert to a 20 year old Nicky Clarke one, which I prefer.

mimiasovitch · 07/12/2023 21:42

I have a Laifen swift - bought on recommendation of curly girl instagrammers. I previously had a shark which had an excellent diffuser, but it kept cutting out, even though I only used low heat, so in returned it. The Laifen dries my hair so fast, I'm glad I had to change.

Charmatt · 07/12/2023 22:13

I bought a Shark 5 in 1. It's brilliant!

ChilliPB · 07/12/2023 22:33

I’ve got the Dyson Supersonic. I love it - it’s much quicker, lighter and quieter than other hairdryers I’ve used. And it leaves my hair so soft and shiny - I really like the flyaway attachment. It leaves my hair looking like I’ve had a blow dry at the hairdresser.

Nutellaonall · 07/12/2023 22:35

I always have two hair dryers on the go as I have a lot of hair. I bought my Dyson most recently when they first came out. I had a diva for approx 5 years before that, the diva is still going. The Dyson is dying. I use both all the time. So not getting a Dyson. Can reccomend a diva.
Asked DH for the most expensive Parlux however as never tried. Getting the digitalyon I think. Can’t wait.

squeekychicken · 07/12/2023 22:57

Love my Dyson supersonic.

Strawberryshortcake90 · 07/12/2023 23:01

Love my GHD Helios

BMIwoes · 07/12/2023 23:12

I have very fine, lightweight mid length hair and have dyson airwrap, it's fantastic. My hair has never had bounce before, now it's almost kate middleton-esque! And it dries my hair v quickly.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/12/2023 23:14

Dyson here too
I love the comb attachment and the curved smoothing tool . My hair is very fragile and after hairloss last year its growing back wavy ! I love the cooler setting .

DD has long thick wavy hair , using the Dyson means she doesn't need her straighteners .

Terraz · 07/12/2023 23:27

Another vote for the Dyson Airwrap, it has truly changed my life!! So expensive but really worth it. It takes a while to get used to how to use it but once you’ve got the hang of it it’s amazing. It’s really improved the condition of my hair

Letsrunabath · 07/12/2023 23:29

I’m so pleased to hear that, my husband has just gave me a Dyson supersonic hair dryer as a gift tonight. I’ve a hair appointment tomorrow so will not be using it for a few days. I’ve also got thick course hair.

keffie12 · 07/12/2023 23:33

I've got the Dyson hairdryer. Yes expensive however worth every penny

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/12/2023 23:46

I have lots of, frizzy/wavy hair half way down my back. I bought this to try a couple of months ago as I didn’t want something pricey like an air wrap. It’s ace and so easy to use. The brush isn’t detachable so it is just a brush dryer but it leaves my hair almost straight with a little volume and slight kink at the ends, which for me is perfect as straight is too harsh. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B072VH43KL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
