These are better than Uggs

I've had these https://josefseibel.co.uk/collections/womens-clogs/products/josef-seibel-betsy?variant=42487736369395 for years. I wear them in the house if I'm not bare footed.

We bought a campervan and go to Italy (husband's family) over winter and we like to stay in the van. I bought https://www.ugg.com/uk/scuffette-ii-slipper/1106872.html?dwvar_1106872_color=BCGR . They are not as warm or comfortable as my leather clogs.

Why do people trust Uggs all the time?

What outdoor stuff can you wear with them

Kellogg1 · 05/12/2023 20:07

The clogs are hideous and look cold. The uggs are slightly less hideous and warm looking.

Justcallmebebes · 05/12/2023 20:18

I absolutely love my Uggs. Boots and slippers and find them really warm and comfortable. Can't see the clog things would give the same softness and comfort

CharmedCult · 05/12/2023 20:18

They look cold.

I'll stick with my fluffy Uggs thanks.

MrsWimpy · 05/12/2023 20:31

It's not really apples for apples is it.

Mothmansknickers · 05/12/2023 20:32

They look too clunky for me. I've never owned Uggs so couldn't comment on those.

PostmansKnock · 05/12/2023 20:33

I don't think people do 'trust uggs all the time'. They are a type of sheepskin footwear. Some people want sheepskin shoes.

Peacheroo · 05/12/2023 20:33

I had a similar pair of clogs in the 90s and thought I was the bees knees. I'm certain it's best they stay in the 90s.

I heard uggs called slag wellies on a podcast recently and I'll be honest, aside from the sexist connotation I found it quite funny. I wear muggs... mock uggs from Primark. I will die with them!

RealBigBarbie · 05/12/2023 20:37

They look awful. I think I’ll stick to my UGGs! I prefer the length of my UGGs too, keeps my legs really warm

They are not outdoors things. Inside only!

Both of them are very expensive for not leaving the house 😬

Pigeonqueen · 06/12/2023 20:11

They don’t look anything like Uggs though….!

Yes, I don't get it.

You like those clogs to wear inside the house.

I'd say slippers were the most popular alternative to your clogs. Lots of people wear slippers.

Many people wear those fluffy socks.

Some people wear crocs or sliders.

I wouldn't put uggs at the top of the indoor shoe league table.

DinaofCloud9 · 06/12/2023 20:22

Uggs last for years. Cheaper alternatives last for one winter if that.

Right, but nobody is saying otherwise.

SparklingSparkle · 06/12/2023 21:22

I have the uggs and love them but I like these as well. I really love ugly shoes.

There are indoor shoes and outdoor shoes. Never the twain shall meet.

So, the leather clog ones that I have are sooo comfy and just slip on and they have a little heel. I can walk in them in the house.

The very expensive, ugly Uggs that I bought are dangerous to walk up and down stairs and they actually (believe it or not) are no warmer than my comfy leather clogs.

I only bough the ugly uggs cos of the campervan. I need to sell them, they are useless (and ugly)

Jztbrzzsy · 06/12/2023 21:40

The last thing I want for my inside shoes is a heel. No thank you.

userxx · 06/12/2023 21:54

No disrespect but those clogs are ugly as fuck, I have a pair of equally ugly ones for chasing the puppy around the garden but mine cost £6.00 not £69.00.

Peacheroo · 06/12/2023 22:06

@Wuman that did make me chuckle. Unfortunately I am a heathen who often needs something from the car and goes "oh fuck it" and moans my socks or slippers are wet.

unsync · 06/12/2023 22:10

I have both, the uggs are indoors, clogs are for outside. The clogs do last well, but the sole does lose grip in time and they stretch, so you need to put the backstrap on.

Notcontent · 06/12/2023 22:10

I like the idea of clogs but only for outside. They would not keep my feet warm and even more importantly I think the noise from stomping around in them would be quite horrendous!

ActDottie · 06/12/2023 22:12

Those clogs are awful, you couldn’t even pay me to wear them even if it is just around the house.

KissTheRains · 06/12/2023 22:20

Those clogs look more like crocs to me.
I bought some crocs recently... After years of refusals.. but they're really good for my heel pain for some reason.
