These are better than Uggs

I've had these https://josefseibel.co.uk/collections/womens-clogs/products/josef-seibel-betsy?variant=42487736369395 for years. I wear them in the house if I'm not bare footed.

We bought a campervan and go to Italy (husband's family) over winter and we like to stay in the van. I bought https://www.ugg.com/uk/scuffette-ii-slipper/1106872.html?dwvar_1106872_color=BCGR . They are not as warm or comfortable as my leather clogs.

Why do people trust Uggs all the time?

Why are you insisting these Ugg slippers are ugly? They are a pretty standard sheepskin slipper design.
The clogs are ugly, but not a cool ugly, like Birks or Crocs.

DollyDaydreamW · 06/12/2023 22:34

The clogs remind me somewhat of the shoe on the foot on the leg in that infamous photo of a lady victim of "spontaneous human combustion" that used to float around in the eighties and nineties... Just an armchair and a pile of ash and a bit of charred leg with a fugly shoe on it (sorry! I'm sure they are comfy)

Wuman · 06/12/2023 22:51

OK, I can see there is not much Josef Seibel love here. The clogs don't make a noise..the soles are rubber (I suppose) (not wood). The outer covering is leather, so very soft and comfortable.

I just keep looking at these flippin ugly Ugg things I've bought, which aren't any warmer than my clogs and are certainly less comfortable cos they are completely flat. Anyhow...I'm going to get rid of the Uggs. Anyone in Richmond that wants to buy a pair that have been worn for about 2 hours in total, send me a private message. Half price.

OP are you on the Bailey’s already?

Malarandras · 06/12/2023 23:00

It will be a cold day in hell before I wear clogs. I will stick to my Uggs thanks very much. But you crack on.

ithinkthatmaybeimdreaming · 07/12/2023 03:55

Sorry, but I will stick with my Uggs. They cover past my ankles, and I can't fathom how those cloggs could possibly be warmer than sheepskin.

hihihihihihihihihihi · 07/12/2023 04:02

Bloody hell £70-£90 for a pair of slippers.

hihihihihihihihihihi · 07/12/2023 04:03

I remember wearing clogs as a child in the 90s! They were awful.

CurlsnSunshinetime4tea · 07/12/2023 05:45

like others have said more comparable to croc's than uggs and sorry although i was around in the 70's they were fugly then and are fugly now.
i literally lol when i opened the link to those, sorry it's a hideous looking...non slipper house shoe....
personally for the price the fuzzy croc's look appealing in a bold kind of way.

They’re not remotely the same sort of footwear, what a strange comparison.

ttcat37 · 07/12/2023 07:32

You keep saying the Uggs are ugly but the clogs are probably the most revolting shoes I’ve ever seen and nowhere near as appealing as the Uggs which look like comfy and warm slippers

Fraaahnces · 07/12/2023 09:56

I get it @Wuman. The clogs keep you up off the cold floor and offer foot support. Uggs are flat, sweaty and offer nothing but toenail fungus.

Lovethatforyouhun · 07/12/2023 10:18

Used slippers? I”ll pass thanks OP. Oh dear

Verv · 07/12/2023 11:43

I think I'll stick to uggs.

nutsnutspistachionuts · 07/12/2023 16:13

I like the Margaret Howell clogs fwiw. But I have high arches and can never get my foot all the way in.

AllAroundMyCat · 07/12/2023 16:18

I'm not a fan of the clogs but Josef Siebel shoes/boots are the most comfortable for my awkward feet.
( I believe that there might be some ankle boots , with a flower print on, underneath the tree!)

I'm wearing short Ugg boots right now - and it's summer! I wear them all year around and can assure you they are not sweaty, and I've never had toenail fungus in my entire life (I'm in my 60s, been wearing Uggs for decades).

I was wondering if it was just me thinking this... they are two completely different types of footwear, surely? One is an indoor slipper and one is an outdoor clog! 🤔Not remotely comparable
