Flattering festive jumper?

I'm looking for something christmassy to wear at a few things in the run up to Christmas and NYE.

I'm a bit out of shape this year following illness. I'm slowly getting back into exercise but don't look or feel great. I'm a tall size 18, 34HH boobs, a bit of a waist but an appalling tummy following illness and c section a few years ago. Is there anything which won't make me look dreadful but will still count as a Christmas jumper? Nothing gaudy / novelty / light up etc, but something with a bit of...something? One of the events asks for christmas jumpers specifically and although I know I don't have to, the event involves young people I work with, so I don't want to be a stick in the mud.

They’re light and floaty and nice to wear to make things look Christmassy.

That scarf is a fabulous idea, I am totally doing that. Now just need a nice plain jumper!

another Next top, not a Christmas jumper but you could easily add something to it, scarf as previously suggested or a Christmas brooch. I'm going to wear this on Christmas Day as it's very lightweight and I hate feeling hot and bothered when I'm spending half the morning in the kitchen.

For the Xmas jumper could you get one from a charity shop and then donate it again? That’s my plan and I recently picked up a kids Xmas jumper that once I have used it will be given back to the charity shop.

Otherwise I’d suggest a fair isle style jumper which is festive enough imo but you can wear it after the holiday.

Sugarhill Brighton have loads of lovely jumpers that look festive including a sparkly green one.

Thanks for these. I do buy a lot secondhand but don't like secondhand knitwear. Not sure why but it feels a lot more used than other secondhand things.

I love Fairisle knits but they don't suit me due to the boobs. Especially anything with a high neckline and fairisle print. Looks terrible on me sadly.

But sadly I think the detail across the top and the crew neck would make my boobs look massive and my neck look non existent.

I'll keep hunting. I like the scarf idea and also the idea of a Christmas top with a jacket, so that might be the thing

Yes, I got a nice one from there last year. I also have big boobs and a short neck so the traditional woolly jumpers look awful on me. The one I got is a black v neck, thin knit and sparkly with stars on. I was thinner last Christmas though, I hope it still fits!

Next are good for Christmas jumpers if you like a crew neck but not so much if you don't. I got one last year after Christmas for less than half price at Wallis, I don't usually buy festive jumpers but I thought it was worth it that time.

It says black is out of stock but the other day it said cream was out of stock and it’s now back in so they might get more. I’m a size 14-16 and medium was a good fit.
