Look Fantastic Advent Calendar 2023 Opening Thread

Hey, I’ve looked to see if there’s already a thread for this calendar, but couldn’t find one. Is there anyone else with a Look Fantastic calendar?

i was very pleased with yesterday’s Elemis hydration serum. Won’t mention today’s just yet in case not everyone has opened it, but it seems to be another good offering. So far, so happy!

Whilst today’s is the annual black eyeliner day, I have run out of liquid liner so it will be very useful. I purposefully didn’t buy a new one in the hopes that my calendar would have one so I’m glad the gamble paid off.

Today’s is a definite dud for me. Black eyeliner looks too harsh on me. I end up using them on the kids for Halloween!

lol at 'annual black eyeliner day'. Yeah that one stayed in the DoDD (drawer of DD ) here.

Today's is a twofer!! Absolutely love a bit of AHA so very happy again today.

I sneaked a look online to remind myself what's to come (I know 🫣) - still some really great stuff incoming. Very grateful to three-months-ago-AnyName for making a good AC choice!

@AnyNameWillDooooo I am also very grateful to my past self for choosing this one! I’ve never had a beauty advent calendar before so nothing to compare it to, but I’m really impressed and excited to see what is to come.

I did watch an unboxing before ordering to see what was in it, but I’ve forgotten most of it 😂

Black eyeliner will be going in the Lucky Dip I’m doing for DNs, to go with their Christmas gift.
really pleased with today, and looking forward to trying them both out.

The lucky dip is a nice idea! My 2 girls are too young for makeup and products though, but definitely an idea for the future!

I am supper happy with today’s double drawer. It makes up for the eyeliner! I really like Medik8 stuff and to get 2 products was a bonus. I have the Cult Beauty AC too which also had a double drawer today which was however very disappointing. I think they’d raided their left over samples to fill it.

I’ve been using the Elemis serum from day 1 every day and will definitely repurchase - such a great product.

It was truly ridiculous! There’s probably more air than product in the tube!

I’m glad I’m not the only one with 2 calendars, it is a little excessive, but then again I tend not to buy anything else during the year unless I run out of a certain thing.

Happy with todays to! A new brand for me to try, but it looks to be full sized and retails at around £30.

I’m very happy as well, it looks like it’s a good item for sensitive skin…and I love the fact it’s full size.

Been thrilled with the last few days, the double day (including c-tetra which is my fave vitamin c product) and today's looks excellent as well. Glad i got this calendar!

Joining this thread as a fellow LF calendarer..

Looking forward to trying today’s mega mushroom treatment, it was one of the products that swung the calendar for me. Makes up for yesterdays DoD as I don’t suit black eyeliner- I do like the idea of keeping it for Halloween though!

Another twofer! Despite the name I'm not wow about the brand, never used it - but perfectly content to try them, and happy to have more handy sized items for my overnighter bag. (I nearly have everything I'd need... a travel hairdryer in one of the next drawers would be just perfect 😅)

I'm impressed with yesterday's full sized item even if the thought of 'mushroom' makes me a bit 🤨, but also haven't a scooby what it actually is. Judging by the size of the product, is it a body lotion, or meant to be just for the face?

Glad you're enjoying it so far. You'll never want a December without an AC again! Though honestly for the price point I think this one, this year, is really excellent so the bar is pretty high for 2024!

I know, I’ll need to budget for one every year now! I am very impressed so far and already feel like I’ve had my moneys worth.

The mushroom liquid is like a toner I believe, I haven’t used it yet but intend to use cotton pads to wipe my face after cleansing.

@Falalalalaa I’ve had a calendar for the last 5-6 years, I absolutely love them! I spend time each year comparing content vs cost and this one looked like the best for me. I do find the different brands can get a bit repetitive - I started with an M&S one which I did for a couple of years, I’ve had a JL one too but a lot of the products get repeated year on year so I try to mix it up.

Very happy with today’s - I have a thing about using matching shampoo and conditioner, so was relieved to find both in one drawer! It makes me anxious when some ACs put shampoo and conditioner days apart!

I’m a bit puzzled by the Origins lotion too, but I think I’ll swipe it on with a cotton pad like a toner. I read the blurb on the box and that doesn’t really help!

Comparing content and cost is a really good idea!

I’ll definitely do more research next year before deciding but I’d be happy to order LF again.
