M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2023 Opening Thread

Roll up, roll up, there doesn't seem to be an M&S thread that we can find yet, so please join in to discuss here!

General rules: please don't disclose what the product is until after 7am on the day that it's due to be opened. No spoilers, if you want to open in a different order then go ahead, but please only discuss the product on or after its specific opening date here!

Super happy with todays as I’ve literally just run out of cleanser - a little bit worried it’ll be drying but hoping it won’t

I've been using it for a few days now (opened rest of calendar early!) and I don't find the Ren cleanser drying at all. It's quite a thin consistency though so be careful when you open it!

I think you'll all be happy with some of the products to come. Overall I think the calendar was really good value for money👍😁

I'm not sure about the cleanser - TBH I was a bit disappointed it was one of the OMG items (as in, full size) because I've got a routine now that seems to work for me (Emma Hardie moringa hot cloth scrub) and my skin doesn't like chopping and changing. I may regift this or put up on ebay...

but I liked this morning's! My nails are definitely the most neglected bits of my neglected body, and I use them as tools (well, they ARE tools!). I make mosaics and my hands are absolutely knackered. I'm not sure I've ever actually buffed my nail surface! Hope this cream/buffing combo works but I spent ten minutes this morning in bed buffing away. Xmas Smile

Happy with this mornings. It's practical but not something I would necessarily buy. Looking forward to trying it out.

So far, I've found the calendar to have a good mix of products, most of which I will use.

Haven't tried the cleanser yet and still no sense of smell so still no opinions on the perfume.

I'm very pleased with today's and will definitely use it.

I usually have gel nails but have been giving them a rest for a week or two so I am very pleased with today's.

I just followed the instructions & had a mini manicure sat by the Christmas tree with it's lights twinkling so I am feeling very Christmassy Xmas Blush

It smells nice too & my nails do look nourished & shiny so its a thumbs up from me.

I like todays, I have put in on my little tray downstairs so I can buff and treat my nails while watching TV

This is EXCELLENT stuff! I think it was in the very first M&S calendar, and I repurchased because I liked it so much (although it lasts for ages). You buff in the cream with the smooth side of the file and it puts a slightly waxy coating on your nails so they feel really nourished and strong.

Only recently found this thread. After a disappointing start I'm enjoying the calendar now. I've just taken my OTT festive nail varnish off after my work night out on Tuesday so think today's will be a nice treat in front of the TV later!

I have gel nails done every 3 weeks but can see today's being useful if I ever take a break from them! I tried the perfume yesterday and think it's one I've had before which I didn't like (and still don't). I'd be on for a swap of that at the end if anyone is interested.

So much so that I may break my rule not to buy very spendy stuff next year.

Going to try using today's on my gel nails as they grow out - my nails already grow quite fast but it can't hurt.

The buffer is a bit useless for me.

I quite like todays - I get dry cuticles and little hang nails and this cream was great last time I used it so hoping it will be good again.

I've forgot to post the past few days but I love the full size cleanser as I'm about to run out of my usual one and I'm looking forward to trying the nail thing from today. Not sure about the styling cream as I don't really use anything in my hair but then maybe now is the time to try!

i'm saving this AC until January a but as I don't use make up.wanted to give dd a parcel containing my makeup off casts

I.dont want to spoil any surprises so i.was hoping one of you could tell me.which boxes have contained MAKEUP so far.. everything else is.for me!!
