M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2023 Opening Thread

Roll up, roll up, there doesn't seem to be an M&S thread that we can find yet, so please join in to discuss here!

General rules: please don't disclose what the product is until after 7am on the day that it's due to be opened. No spoilers, if you want to open in a different order then go ahead, but please only discuss the product on or after its specific opening date here!

Today's is great for me! Full size REN evercalm cleanser! Was just running out of cleanser and love the Ever calm range. It's so nice to have a good day after some disappointments (gold nail varnish - I'm looking at you!)

Today’s looks nice and has got to be better than the Clinique one that I bought and is like paint stripper.

tried the hair stuff last night. Not a fan.

Me too - I had one of the Evercalm cream cleansers in a Liberty beauty box recently and my hypersensitive skin loved it so looking forward to trying this.

Being gel if it's a bit drying for me then teen DD will happily take it off my hands.

This is a great size cleanser but as it's a gel I hope it's not too drying for my wonky combination skin!

Do you think the Ren cleanser would be suitable for tween skin? DD11 has asked for a cleanser for Xmas, but the Byoma one I ordered for her hasn't showed up and I'm worried it's not going to be here on time. It would be good to have a backup.

Love today's. A great brand, a product I've used before and a full size. I will be putting this in my stash for use when my current Clinique one runs out (which is also excellent!).

I'm not sure till I try with cleansers, which is annoying as I have very sensitive skin and many make it sting.

Yesterday's hair cream - not a fan. I don't use it; what's more, I can't think of anyone I can even pass it on to!

Today's cleanser - great. I have a couple in stock already, but it will get used eventually. As long as it's not too stripping on my dry old face......

Promisingly heavy box today, but unfortunately unusable for me. Companies who put fragrance in cleansers meant for sensitive skin, just why 🤯 Have tried and like yesterday's Aveda mask though (fine wavy hair).

I was pleased with today's - just because of the size really! It's £25 to buy so it's not a cleanser I'd ever buy!! Might have wrapped it for DD13 only she was there when I opened it so I think we'll share it.

Looking forward to trying the Aveda product after washing my hair tomorrow.

Haven't tried the perfume yet but haven't liked any of the other Shay & Blue ones we've had in the past so not holding out much hope.

Won't open this for a while as my current Elemis one is only recently opened. I have used this before as I got a sample size as a gep and I liked it. Happy that it's a full sized offering too. Liked yesterdays but not sure I'd splurge for the full size. Still only on two misses really, gold nail polish which DD loved on her toes and the brow stuff which noone in this house will use!

Only just found this thread but enjoying reading what everyone thinks. Am really enjoying this years, and have decided to make sure I use everything rather than keeping it “for a special occasion”

Was a bit confused about all the chat about an eyebrow tamer then realised I missed opening day 10 😆🤦🏽‍♀️ so an extra treat for me today!

Today's isn't a brand I'm familiar with, but I tried it this morning and it was ok. Skin did feel a bit tight afterwards, but OK after some of the clinique moisturiser.

I'm hoping it won't be very drying as I'm almost out of my current (discontinued) cleanser and was wondering what to buy!

Not really interested in the Aveda styler thing as I won't use it.

Pleased with the REN Cleanser as I've heard good things about it.
Though it will have to go in my stash as I've got another 5 wash off cleansers to go through - all free in beauty boxes/advent calendar.
