M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2023 Opening Thread

Roll up, roll up, there doesn't seem to be an M&S thread that we can find yet, so please join in to discuss here!

General rules: please don't disclose what the product is until after 7am on the day that it's due to be opened. No spoilers, if you want to open in a different order then go ahead, but please only discuss the product on or after its specific opening date here!

What was in box 16 for everyone cause I opened mine this morning and it was empty 😫 definitely hasn’t been taken by anyone else in the house. Need to find out if it’s something I’m bothered about before I decide whether to complain.

Oh that's annoying @buzzing it's just a mini Philip Kingsley shampoo so you're not hugely missing out... 🧴

Ive got a tiny Philip Kingsley moisture balancing shampoo in box 16 so you're not missing much. Good luck if you complain to M&S. My box for the 24th was missing altogether and M&S customer services were really awful. They seem to have started using an overseas call centre, with badly trained staff. It took two long phone calls and two emails to finally get a £5 voucher from them. The second man I spoke to told me I had to go into my local store and they would give me a replacement box! He also kept asking me what was missing and couldn't understand why I didn't know what was missing. Both of the people I spoke to finally agreed to process refunds, which didn't arrive, and the person who replied to my first email clearly didn't read it properly.

I'm noticing an irritating pattern these days with CS ... if you highlight more than one issue at a time the initial person who picks your email chooses one to acknowledge and attempt to sort completely ignoring the others.

You then have to be prepared to send it another time for every other issue to get all sorted Confused

I think we already had PK Conditioner and now it’s matching shampoo.

I will definitely use this on a mini break so it’s a hit with me.

I haven't opened for a couple of days, so I'm just reading what's been behind the doors. I'm tired and couldn't work out why you'd put some in the litter tray...

Shampoo is nice and will definitely come in handy.

A few years ago I had a serum in the calendar with a non-functioning pump - couldn't get a drop out of it. I took it into a branch, and they were a bit bemused about what to do, because it was a sample size, not available in store. Eventually, a supervisor just said, oh, to hell with it.... and gave me a full size item in return. 👏

I've had the conditioner. So had 2 mini conditioners and one shampoo so far in the calendar. Not sure it's a mistake either.

I had a conditioner too. So I’ve got a shampoo/conditioner set plus the elasticising conditioner

Got a conditioner too. I think the idea is that you have a shampoo, conditioner and a deep treatment masque style conditioner? I use more conditioner than shampoo so the balance works for me.

I’ll use it but bit disappointing….heres hoping tomorrow brings something a bit different! My favourite so far I think are the nuxe oil and the little nail cream set
