M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2023 Opening Thread

Roll up, roll up, there doesn't seem to be an M&S thread that we can find yet, so please join in to discuss here!

General rules: please don't disclose what the product is until after 7am on the day that it's due to be opened. No spoilers, if you want to open in a different order then go ahead, but please only discuss the product on or after its specific opening date here!

I liked todays lip gloss although very similar to day 1 in shade. It was tingly but not painfully so, I find the soap and glory one and burts bees balm actually feel like burning where this was just a tingle.

Burts Bees lipbalm has Limonene in it. It can be an irritant / allergen. I don't know why they use it. We are a beekeeping family and make a simple salve / Lip balm just from beeswax, honey and oils like olive oil or coconut oil and jojoba.

I am looking at no6 to get it ready for tomorrow. I assume it's this one? As the one I assume is no9 looks the same but was the other way up.

My lipbalm didn't have a seal so I opened it just far enough to smell it and closed it up again, I definitely won't be using it, the smell made me feel a bit yuck. Shame because the colour looks nice, but there is also the hair getting stuck problem.

Morning! Today we have a 'deep sleep body cocoon' which I've never heard of before! My first thought was 'but I don't have a bath or shower at night!' do you think we can use this as a hand lotion and just put it on a bit of our body like a semi cocoon?! 🤣

I am going to the gym this evening & will come home, shower & use this.

So, will hopefully have a deep sleep in a cocoon 😂

Impressed with the size but another not for me. I'm sticking to the Nuxe Oil I always use (and we've already had).

I have a very pregnant niece though who I think might like it so all good.

Great size tube. I also don't usually shower before bed but I am looking at sleep hygiene atm (dreadfully bad sleep due to peri) so maybe a quick warm shower and a bit of this may be worth a try.

Teen Dd has yesterday's gloss - she liked it a lot.

I've already got a smaller tube of this via a beauty box so I'm not sure I'll keep this. I use it just as handcream currently as it's quite a strong scent and I prefer unperfumed body lotions

I have used this before as a night time hand cream. Great to have a full sized one.

I've already got an unopened tube of this (from last year?). I'm not very good at remembering body lotion etc and have a lot of handcreams already, I really must make more effort. I have been putting the nuxe oil on my legs for the last few nights.

I'm a shower in the morning person, mainly because my hair is so thin sleeping on it washed would mean it needed washing again. But I like the sound of this and had a shit night sleep last night so lets see!

I wouldn't use this as a body lotion as I always use unfragranced so it doesn't clash with my perfume 😁

Good idea to use as hand lotion! Or I'll pass it on as it's a nice product!

Happy again with today's offering. I use their Sleep Spray a lot (especially when travelling where I struggle to sleep in a strange bed) and really like it so am looking forward to adding this as an extra layer.

I do this and it helps to use up the zillion sprays I've accumulated over the years from my beauty addiction and find if I spray my pillow at home a few times a week (even if having a rare good sleep spell) it's even more effective when I'm away. Must make the smell very familiar to my brain or something

This smells lovely and is a decent size. Night-bather with dry skin here so I will definitely get full use out of it.
