I can’t access sale either - I’m also kindred. Perhaps there is a hierarchy within kindred 😆

agnesmartin · 22/12/2023 15:45

Thanks for the nudge @Saurus72 Heading in!

Snowyowl78 · 22/12/2023 15:46

yay @Saurus72 i got the Greta and the embroidered navy one. And that weird one size shirt

Noeggsontoast · 22/12/2023 15:50

I can't access it either and am kindred

Noeggsontoast · 22/12/2023 16:02

I've been dropped from Kindred. I now have to pay postage that's how I know. No early access for me.

Noodle421 · 22/12/2023 16:05

I’d forgotten that you need to log into your Toast account first to access sale ! Good luck everyone

Noodle421 · 22/12/2023 16:06

@saurus thanks for the tip off X

Noodle421 · 22/12/2023 16:07

I ordered the pin tuck gingham shirt and anthracite skirt - two on my wish list for ages

ScottishMouse · 22/12/2023 16:07

Hi folks. Have been awol due to life. Too many posts to catch up on now, so hope everyone is well.
Excited to see the sale has started. I have ordered the ikat culottes, the pintuck shirt in white, the linen stripe tunic dress, and the navy embroidered dress. Back in for a more considered look. Can anyone tell me about Cheaney brogues - are they good for a wide foot? They say to size down, but how big are we talking? Are they very stiff and heavy? Thanks!

ScottishMouse · 22/12/2023 16:10

Also, does anyone have the Gala Block Print quilt? Is the real life colour more like the 3rd or the 4th photo? It looks more vibrant in the 3rd photo, but I like the more muted shades that appear in the 4th photo. Thanks.

Dee1224 · 22/12/2023 16:18

Thanks @Saurus72 - trying to go in now!

Countmeout · 22/12/2023 16:20

I was out buying more food 😬 Pine cones tracked down.
I am sorry you are alone @Tremblingmadness I certainly have enough food now for an extra one or two possibly everyone on the thread if required.

I’ve had a quick skip round the sale. Nothing on my wish list is in it but of course have managed to buy a few bits including 3 different Alix to try.

I’m going to wait for the velvet skirt in this year’s colour. There’ll be other stuff added later I think.

Thanks @Saurus72 for the heads up. Ordered a couple of dresses and a swimsuit!

Noodle421 · 22/12/2023 16:29

@ScottishMouse I have Cheaney brogues - I find them true to size - my usual size 39 and I have average feet width wise with a high instep. They are sturdy and excellent quality, but comfortable from first wear and didn’t need breaking in. No rub or blisters.

peerie · 22/12/2023 16:38

@Countmeout ooh, can you reveal which Alix you got and do you think they will be in the general sale?

Noeggsontoast · 22/12/2023 16:39

Ok I am still Kindred but it has to be re-added to my account. So looks like I can't gain access until tomorrow. Apparently I'm not subscribed to marketing emails which I've always received. Looks like something has gone wrong on my account.

Boiledeggandtoast · 22/12/2023 16:40

ScottishMouse I also have the Cheaney brogues and like Noodle have average (to wide) feet and a highish instep and find the size 6 true to size. I'd also agree on the excellent quality and sturdiness but I do find that they can feel a bit heavy when you first start wearing them (or have been wearing other lighter shoes eg trainers).

Countmeout · 22/12/2023 16:43

@peerie they are spring/summer weight ones, two navy linen with different stripes. And a green check pair. I’ve stabbed at xs in the first as the s if def bigger than what I have and my usual size in the green which I think are older and sized 6/8/10 etc.
There is a woollen mix pair in sale but not this years.

Thanks @Boiledeggandtoast and @Noodle421 I went for the size 5 as I am a 5.5 and the description said to size down, but given that I have wide feet I should probably have tried the 6. 🙄

agnesmartin · 22/12/2023 16:45

Just the bone cord Hal jacket and a cotton printed scarf for me for now. Hoping they'll add some more homeware bits later on.

ScottishMouse · 22/12/2023 16:45

Just ordered the 6 as well. Ok, that’s a ridiculous 3 orders already, so I need to shut my laptop and not open it again until the new year!

faustina · 22/12/2023 16:46

@Saurus72 - thank you so much! I have ordered three jumpers to try - the seamless yak, the humbug British wool, and the Donegal sweater in firewood, and then the check cotton wool pull on trousers - was hoping for the cords in a similar shape but not in the sale yet. I am still wondering whether to order the parchment cotton linen trousers but I think I admired some of you wearing yours and decided they'd be too long? Anyway, back to being sociable with poor, ignored DS1 and making grissini .. Does anyone have the humbug jumper? It said in the reviews to size way up so have ordered the large

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 22/12/2023 16:47

Thanks @Saurus72 I was out walking the dog. I’m finding it a bit glitchy, some sale prices are disappearing when I click on the item.
I’ve ordered some Christmas decorations, tea towels and the gingham tie waist shirt, but I don’t think there’s much else I want.

PretLea · 22/12/2023 16:51

Thank you so much @Saurus72! I am not able to access any items for sale on my account wish list, but it appears on the drop down menu for me on the website. Definitely no email about it too.

ScottishMouse · 22/12/2023 16:54

@faustina , I tried the humbug sweater in a medium and the size was good. I am usually small or medium in sweaters. So I didn’t find it very small at all. It’s lovely. Just a bit too scratchy for me.
