This is a thread to discuss the buying of beauty calendars and not the opening of them. There may be general discussion about contents of a calendar but please do not share information about what is behind a specific door you've opened. Thank you

Elle is still available as far as I can see. I am able to add it to my basket.

I'm suspicious that F&M may have done a Liberty and simply removed it from sale. It was still available yesterday am.

Whoever curated CB must be feeling pretty sheepish right now.They are the position that Space nk was in last year, but seem far more reluctant to offer a decent reduction. I think that they are going to struggle to shift it at £200, although I suppose that some may go for it simply because everything else has sold out.

Vogue is saying last few remaining. I wonder what they count as a few?!

The other one that hasn't been mentioned is Mintd which is still available but not reduced

Will double-check in future.

One of the links is obviously incorrect so there may in fact not be any available. It could be that they are taking orders that they can't fulfil.

I got an email today advertising the Elle advent and when I press the link it is still available so I think it is still there. However with this subscription scheme there is always the risk they are still selling the scheme without the advent available any more but I think that is unlikely

Actually I have just looked at the link again and I think they are both right. You could buy the advent without the subscription under the limited edition boxes and that is what is sold out but you can still buy the subscription with the advent. So if you look at the link it shows sold out on the limited boxes but still available under the subscriptions bit

Just been to my nearest Fenwick’s - calendar only 10% off !

That’s strange. The advent was definitely marked as ‘30% off this product’ in the Canterbury store yesterday. The advent was in a glass case and the 30% sign was inside the case with the calendar contents.

I have a feeling the price of the Fenwicks calendar will reduce further as it is one of the few that’s still in stock

I was in Fenwicks today, the Calendar was on display with 10% off, they had at least 15 available. I think it’s unlikely they’ll all sell by Thursday.

Fenwicks is 12 day so I assume is supposed to be for the 12 days of Christmas, rather than advent. From that perspective, they have a bit longer to shift them.

They probably made a mistake in the Canterbury store

@MidnightMeltdown yes, I didn’t think of that. Definitely don’t think it’s worth the price, considering it’s only 12 days though. It will be interesting to see if they discount further.

I was only persuaded to buy the Fenwicks because of the free beauty box they were offering with it. Think that made it worth the price but I wouldn’t have bought it otherwise

Oh dear: I have just cracked and bought the 12 day Clarins advent calendar. Of course, I then ordered more stuff to get the free gifts.

Given that I already went mad on the EL site today, I now need to be on a ‘no spend’ on beauty for the next year. I have put myself on the ‘naughty step’ in the meantime.

Unbelievably, I failed to buy the serum I actually needed from EL and bought something else ‘by accident’, (I will now have to do without it).

I would like to surprise my wife and buy her an advent calendar. Can you please help me choose which one will have better makeup goodies for dark skin? I wanted to get her Vogue advent calendar, Harvey Nichols advent calendar, or the one from Harrods links below with product details:

@elbom12 i think your decision is quite easy as both Harvey Nicks and Harrods have sold out so Vogue it is . But that advent is the most lust after advent on this thread so I am sure she will love it. From memory there is little makeup in this advent so colouring shouldn’t be an issue. It really is a beautiful advent your wife will be thrilled but buy it quick as it will probably sell out soon

Hi @elbom12 the Harvey Nicks and Harrods ones are both sold out.

The Vogue calendar is gorgeous so if that is in your budget, I am sure anyone would be delighted. It doesn't contain much make up (just a mascara I think) so that won;t be an issue.

Great minds @clary . Unfortunately I know its not my husband writing this post (mind blows from him even thinking of buying me an advent!)
