I don't think the boots are Blundstones. The soles on those are more rounded - even the lug boots which are the chunkiest

I think they are Doc Martins. I’m sure there was a seen when she was putting them in and it looked like the tag things you see on the heel of Doc Martins.

How much do detectives earn? And did she arrive on the island with a van full of clothing, because although I haven't been paying a great deal of attention to the programme, every time I've looked over at the screen she seems to be wearing yet another interesting outfit. When she went to Shetland wasn't the plan that she'd be returning within a day or two? Or maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

I think they’ve done that all right, actually. She’s been wearing the same trousers throughout, with (1) the black jumper with yellow cuffs, (2) the blue knitted tank with the shirt under it, and (3) some other top — maybe a waistcoat over something? And the same coat, blue scarf, hat and boots.

No idea, but I loved it, too, but not with that denim shirt under it. Don’t mess with the jumper!

I’m wondering about these from Reiss. From zooming in on the OPs picture I can see there is definitely stitching and the heel treads look right. Pretty tricky though with the sheer volume of black chunky chelsea boots on the market.

Oh my - I’d love them to be the Ferragamo or Loewe from your Google page, @Dotcheck, it would be so London. Sadly I doubt the costume department would have wanted to place her in that spending bracket.

Though I’d also be highly surprised if she were buying meant-to-be-sturdy outdoor work footwear from H&M.
