Which perfume have you gone off ?

I must have liked it once I suppose because I have it but I really don’t like Black Opium anymore .Sickly sweet and overpowering. What perfume can you not get on with ?

Hypnosis, lancome. I got it for Christmas when I was newly pregnant 13 years ago. I liked it at first but then morning sickness took over and even today, if I smell it I feel nauseous.

oh dear! black Opium is my dream perfume but never bought one before. Anyway Joop! guy i once fancied used to wear it all the time and so the fragrance and him did something to my senses that i'd pick up the scent anywhere. That was over 20yrs ago. DS has recently started wearing it. I feel a wave of nausea everytime he opens his bedroom door, I've even gone and sniffed the bottle to make sure it is Joop, alas it is but just does something awful to my stomach. Don't understand it.

All of them. I've developed a sensitivity since perimeno to strong smells.

LadeOde you can have this half bottle if you want .I can post it next time I am in the post office .I was going to have a clear out and send it to a charity shop but you are welcome to it if you send me your address.

Very Valentino. My favourite perfume for years, only to be discontinued! My lovely husband bought a vintage bottle for me a few Christmases ago as my present for ££££££££, but it seemed like such a waste of money that I resented it and went off it.

I went crazy for Flowerbomb when it first came out, but suddenly went right off it, after a few months.

I wore a sample and an extremely annoying colleague at work commented on it...she loved it.

Straight away I vowed to never wear it again.

Yes! Loved Flowerbomb but find it sickly and over powering now

Penhaligons Elixir. It's just too much.

Glad I've gone off it since I definitely can't afford it now.

Chanel No 5 here too. Have they changed the formula? I used to love it and now it smells too old for me.

I wore Chanel Coco for years and now couldn’t imagine wearing anything that heavy.
I now wear Jo Malone Lime Basil and Mandarin. Opposite ends of the scale.

Anything Oud. It's so strong and sickly.

These are yonks old but Escape and Obsession. God awful and should be removed from production. Well I think they might. Ooh now I'll have to check.

Anyway those.

Miss Dior Cherie. I used to absolutely love it but the ones I've bought after having DC1 smell like cats pee. TBF I've heard they changed the ingredients.

A Tom Ford one, Bergamot and something I think. The most expensive perfume I’ve ever bought and I went right off it with more than half the bottle left.

Pomegranate noir. It just has no subtlety at all

So many now that peri has hit.

Angel - I wore it for years when it first came out and loved it, then people always asked what I wore as they thought it was so nice and bought ti, made me go right off it, haven't worn it for many years now. Was bought a bottle as a gift recently, its in the drawer.

Also pomegranate noir JM - I have gone right off anything that heavy perfume wise.

Dislike the majority of Chanel perfume, although I do like Coco - but that is my mums scent.

Joop is THE. WORST. Worn by the bottle, by every teenage lad averse to washing since the dawn of time!

It's the smell of sneaking underage into my home town's shitty nightclub 😅 The lads with their over-gelled hair and badly-dyed blond fringes, absolutely honking of Joop. You could still smell it over the cigarette smoke.

L’Eau d’Issey. Used to love it, now find it nauseatingly cloying- it really turns my stomach. Unfortunately a close friend is very attached to hers, so I encounter it a lot.

Black Opium is so strong it makes my eyes melt and turns my stomach!
It (bizarrely as I wasn't alive) makes me think of the 1970's and smoke filled dinner parties, it's a really odd feeling.

Another one for L'eau d'issey.

My mum used to wear Poison, it didn't agree with her natural skin smell and it still turns my stomach now.

I tried to like Chanel No.5 as apparently we all should, but it just smells so sour and fousty.

I didn't mind CKOne to begin with, but an ex used to drown himself in it in lieu of washing, and now I can't bear it.

Mugler Alien so strong I can’t believe I used to wear it!
