Any basics worth buying from Primark

I have an appointment in town today next to the TCR Primark. I never get chance to go there. I need tights, leggings and thermals. I would love a warm waterproof coat but have never really looked in there for big purchases. Is it worth buying from there or should I go straight to uniqlo next door?

Primark cosy leggings are fab £7 each!

EachandEveryone · 17/11/2023 10:53

Do you size up?

OP posts:
ImTheGoat · 17/11/2023 10:54

Yes, size up by a couple of sizes

Mrsjayy · 17/11/2023 10:58

I'm usually a 10/12 in jackets I need to size up in primark they are narrow shoulder to shoulder .

Mrsjayy · 17/11/2023 10:59

their tights and leggings are great though .

If you have a small chest their racer back sports bras are fab. I haven't worn a bra since the pandemic and don't have to change it before the gym.

EachandEveryone · 17/11/2023 11:17

I have the opposite of a small chest. I doubt they will have my size but it’s so nice to have a pull on bra for mooching about in

I am hoping to get gloves as it is getting nippy! I do have some somewhere.... but where???

TheRealMaudOHara · 17/11/2023 11:25

Check the PJs too - in amongst the shiny satin and disney nighties there are often some really lovely 100% cotton sets which are well worth getting!

whatsthemattermrs · 17/11/2023 11:27

Their make up is good. Dupes a plenty and all very cheap.

Are the cosy leggings now called velvet plush?

Tbh I just have a glance at the sales racks and stock up on tights there.
If you have a kid then the fake rubiks cubes, tattoos, lip gloss, bubble things, tubs of chalk etc etc near the counter are great for sticking staffers or little pressies. Seldom more than a pound. Got my daughter a spongebob squarepants sponge bag from there she adores and uses as a pencil case.

Deathwillbebutapause · 17/11/2023 14:34

Stocking stuffers*🙄

TotalOverhaul · 17/11/2023 14:36

They do the best pyjamas ever. I have fancy White Company PJs and designer ones bought by DH and trendy Muji ones which my fashionista dc admire. But for preference I always go for the cotton jersery Primark ones. They are so soft and stretchy and cosy. I have about six pairs.

Lookingoutside · 17/11/2023 14:36

That’s a bit crap. Maybe they don’t do them anymore.

EachandEveryone · 17/11/2023 14:41

i can’t find anything that says cotton on it except for the flannel ones and I don’t like pajama tops shall I get this instead much nicer than white company😂

120 denier opaque tights - feel like velvet and never snag.

JMAngel1 · 17/11/2023 14:43
