Just to offset the negativity, alarmist and somewhat very misguided advice in some posts ...
I had mine done 3 years ago. From an empty B cup to accidentally an E. Accidentally because it's not a science. A good surgeon measures you, in 6 different ways and then makes a CC suggestion.
An artificial E doesn't look the same as a natural E cup by the way.
They don't always look fake, they look fake when you've gone too big and used the wrong shape for your breast shape. Also if you choose to go over the muscle. Half and half is best for a natural result
So I had no upper pole fullness, so I went for a tear drop shape. I still have minimal upper pole fullness, but I do have shape and volume now. No one knows they're fake unless I tell them.
They also now have a life of 25 years, they think, because the new design has only been around a few years and they're not seeing the same people back for removal/replacement as they were at the same rate. From a safety perspective they're good for life.
Recovery is easy, if you follow the instructions properly. E.g. wear the recovery garment 23 hours a day for 3 months. Change your tapes etc.
There is no reason you'd lose sensation in an augmentation alone, sensation loss is usually part of a lift and augmentation as they remove the nipple usually. However in an augmentation alone, they cut a one to two inch incision in your crease and then place the implant.
There are the usual risks as associated with all surgery, and if you're not a healthy weight this obviously increases.
I'm very happy to answer any questions in regards to this. I spent 13 years wanting one, and I'm very happy with my result.
