Laugh out loud clothing

I have a pretty much live and let live attitude to clothing. Generally if I see something a bit out there, I just shrug and think good on whoever wants that.

But occasionally I see something that seems so ridiculous, that it makes me laugh out loud. Struggling to see what's wrong with looking like a giant pear or Morph or carrying a pigeon. These sound like fun ways of expressing yourself?

I saw someone on their way for a night out wearing this round our way a few weeks ago. It's like a cheap night out version of the gaultier one. They had a little tie top on so I didn't really think much - until they turned to walk away from me . . .

I'm eyeing up the crystal drops in the Christmas ornaments and wondering if they can be sewn onto a feather cape to give a similar effect when worn over the right sort of coat.

Honestly, it’s no disaster. My mother had the whole shebang out in her 40s due to cancer. Struggled with how to look good in sensible clothes for years when she was working as the baked potato middle took hold.

But now she’s retired, as I said earlier, she’s going for big and bold and what makes her feel good. Between the self confidence that gives her, and always having a good hair cut, she honestly has never looked better. And I really mean that sincerely.
