Or will you start opening in November?

Either way, it's not long now......time to make your choice (s).

The teen has asked for a calendar. Can anyone point me to the spreadsheet please? I need to compare and assess!!

LunaDeBallona · 03/11/2023 10:05

Has anybody got a link to the £37 degustabox?
It’s still showing as £42.99 to me!

I don't think my spreadsheet would be any use to you as it's only calendars available in Ireland and is based on the preferences of a 58 year old woman so probably wouldn't suit a teenager.

What age is the teen? Is she interested in make-up, skin care or body stuff? What is your budget?

My dd, who is now 23, has enjoyed H&B, soap and glory and look fantastic in the past. I make one up for her these days.

A good place to see what's available is https://beautyadventcalendar.net/

My LiB has arrived from the TikTok shop and I’m very happy with it. I might open it this month.

The nail varnish calendar has been dispatched too.

The Revolution website has quite a few reduced calendars, including an Emily in Paris one.

Does anyone know whether Clinique are doing one. I saw a tiktok where there was one on show in a store the person visited but they don't seem to have one online?

Try code FBAC5 - mine was a link on Instagram which took the discount off automatically!

I'm assuming they're not doing one this year as I'd already bought mine by this time last year.

Shame as the products have lasted me all year. I would have bought it again as it was a bargain at the discounted price they offered Clinique customers through their website.

Thank you so much. It’s worked and I’m so addicted to advent calenders I bought two! One for hubby and one for mum & dad.
So after discovering this thread I am now the proud owner of 5 calendars ( that’s along with the one I originally bought, so actually 6) and am hoping for some delights to be reduced in November.
I think I have a problem.

QueefofSheena · 03/11/2023 13:01

@Moofart Boots have a Clinique set for £45 with 5 items if that's any use? M&S also usually have Clinique gift sets. I'm going to have a wander round their beauty hall today to see what looks good.

Dee1224 · 03/11/2023 14:54

@Moofart - the Cosmetics Company outlet store I visited yesterday at Clark’s Village had last year’s Clinique a/c for £84. I don’t know if they would sell you one over the phone.

AprilLady · 03/11/2023 15:13

@TragicMuse I also don’t think my spreadsheet would be much help in choosing a calendar for a teen. Most of the luxury £££ ones are really targeted at a much older audience. I have in the past bought Soap and Glory and nail polish advents for my teen DDs (and have taken advantage of the amazing Ciate £19 offer to get it for my now older teen DD this year)

In my view the best multi- brand option for a teen this year could well be the Glossy Box advent (especially if you can find some of the codes that have been around so that it costs £65 or £70). It’s got a good mix of make-up, haircare, bath and body and not much aimed at aging skin. I think it’s pretty decent value for what it is this year too.

Moofart · 03/11/2023 15:44

Thank you for the replies about the Clinique calendar everyone. I'm going to have a look at all the great suggestions and also give the Clarks place a call. I think I have a skincare product buying addiction!

itsnothingoriginal · 03/11/2023 17:09

No worries @LunaDeBallona glad Degusta code worked for you! It's such a good calendar - I love the randomness of the products and there's usually something for everyone 😀

itsalongwaybackfromsorry · 03/11/2023 17:15

Thanks for posting the Degustabox code. Decided to order it and have it shipped straight to my first year university student. Imagine he'll enjoy having a giant box of random treats to try, and can share any that he doesn't fancy with his flatmates.

trying29 · 03/11/2023 17:57

My husband bought me the cult beauty when they had the gwp but they’ve sent him a hair kit! I’m very grateful for him buying but I did want the original gwp. Apparently there was no option to choose?!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 03/11/2023 18:03

I got my nail polish calendar today, I opened number 3 and decided it's my November calendar! What a bargain for £19

hby9628 · 03/11/2023 20:06

@TragicMuse I got my daughter a Sephora advent calendar. There's a couple of price options. If you add the brand to your favourites it should also give you 10/15% off
I got the £45 one as my daughter is only 12 & just getting in to skincare.

Talisin · 04/11/2023 01:03

Just a FYI for those with Sephora advents - I just checked mine as I noticed a couple of the boxes were slightly damaged and one was upside down. I have 7 empty boxes and they’ve clearly been ransacked, not just accidentally left unfilled. Have just contacted sephora so hopefully they’ll get back to me tomorrow. If anyone wants to check/get someone else to check theirs just in case, the missing days in mine are 1, 4, 8, 13, 15, 17 & 20.

Twinsandsome · 04/11/2023 07:52

@Talisin funny in the unboxing I watched of Sephora they mentioned the box was in poor condition. I need to buy an advent for one of my sisters for her Christmas present and one for me and I’ve actually came round to thinking Sephora might be the one but especially the gift one for my sister I’d be affronted if a lot of the boxes where empty. Let me know how customer services handle it please x

Emmmmz9 · 04/11/2023 08:02

@Talisin thank you for this - off to check mine. Hope they have excellent customer service and they sort it quickly for you

kerstina · 04/11/2023 08:45

Ifyour teen likes make up I recommend M.A.C . Mainly all full size items. I think I would have loved Charlotte Tilbury as a teen as you get the chest to keep but it’s only 12 days and mainly not full size.

Ilikeviognier · 04/11/2023 08:52

I see m & s is now out of stock online- that took about a week so not long.
