Shoes to go with this dress I'm wearing to get married in!

I've booked our wedding, simple ceremony with 2 witnesses and we are getting married shortly.

I bought this dress second hand, it's Richards, from the 80s. It's beautiful. I'm getting it tailored to fit me perfectly.

I need help with shoes please, I'm thinking nude Mary janes or something similar? Suggestions welcome.

Also, jewellery? I'm not a jewellery person so no idea..

Would love to see the dress...must admit I find nude shoes very disappointing....but love the idea of Mary Jane's...it's your big day I would go either a colour to match your dress or similar...it's your big day let whatever fab shoes you choose be seen not just blur into nothingness

Mary Jane’s sound nice, but I think I would go darker, maybe match the dress
or a deep pewter

Lovely dress, do give it an iron though! I would actually go all black accessories but that's me, think about coat colour as well.

How about silver? It doesn't have to be a bling silver. I'd go to somewhere that has a vast array of shoes and try on a few colours with the dress on. Then go from their once you have a good colour match. However you can't go with nude ever imo

That's a really nice dress and it looks fantastic on you!

I like the idea of deep red or burgundy shoes. Nude ones you might struggle to pair with other outfits afterwards.

Oh wow, they are gorgeous!
Don't have a Limit for shoes (within reason) as I already had the dress so no expense there, apart from whatever alterations will cost

Thank you, it fits in all the right places and that's before alterations! I do feel fabulous in it. I'm going to look for burgundy, that's a great suggestion

Makes dresses hang better; stops clinging; adds weight to thin material.

I'm astonished that so many posters don't wear one under unlined dresses.

Definitely burgundy. I thought red as soon as I saw it but burgundy is less in your face.

I haven't even thought of a coat, maybe a mid length wool one?
