Everyday scent

Good morning,

Can any of you help me? I am looking for a very light fragrance perfume to wear for everyday (shopping, lunches out, children in tow).

I am not keen on musk but other than that happy to try anything.

I have a low budget but if it is excellent, I can wait for the sales. What would you recommend?

Thanks

Paul Smith Rose
One of the Ghost ones
Kenzo Flower
Or M&S usually have a few nice ones

Nitgel · 29/10/2023 10:45

Rituals body mists are lovely, light and gorgeous scents. I like sakura

Shinyandnew1 · 29/10/2023 14:26

What’s your low budget? £5? £15? £50?

TotalOverhaul · 29/10/2023 14:37

I love Zara's apple blossom scent. Big bottle for £12 but it is very light. More a body spray. Quite a few Zara scents are good. Their smaller stronger bottles of cologne are also around £12.

M&S has loads of choice for around £8 a bottle. I wear their gardenia and vanilla or spiced bergamot during the day.

Medium price, Clarins blue Eau Ressourçante is about £30 and very light and fresh.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 29/10/2023 14:40

You’ll probably hate it but Lacoste Femme works for me.

DramaAlpaca · 29/10/2023 14:41

Another vote for trying M&S. Surprisingly good fragrances at a low price point.

SJP Lovely is also good, a gentle everyday perfume that's excellent value.

Beachmango · 29/10/2023 14:44

Britney Spears Fantasy is cheap and cheerful. Can get it for about £20 from allbeauty.com

I used to wear it as my every day perfume and always got lots of complements on it. I’ve sickened myself of it now though! You can also get nice Marc Jacobs perfumes on the same website for a good price

Beachmango · 29/10/2023 14:44

Oh also! Aldi’s poppy and barley perfume (dupe for my favourite Jo Malone perfume) is lovely and a mere £7! I get complemented on that whenever I wear it

I wear Eau Dynamisante as an everyday scent. Even when I am wfh, I spray it on after my ablutions and several times a day. I have bottles of it in drawers around the house, such is my addiction.

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 29/10/2023 14:48

4711 or Fico di Amalfi by Acqua Di Parma are my two daily favourites.
I also love but don't own Chanel Gabrielle as an everyday scent.
Prada Infusion D'Iris and Prada Infusion de Rose are also gorgeous for every day wear.

Good choice! Beautiful fresh scent.

I also like Chanel eau fraiche and Issey Miyake l'eau Issey. Similarly fresh and light.

The Issey Miyake also has a very good dupe from Perfume Parlour

Gorgeous- but I wouldn’t call it light.

Ladyofthelake53 · 29/10/2023 16:33

The original Ghost in frosted blue bottle is lovely and JLo Glow. Both light but gorgeous

Why would the OP hate it?

Inis is lovely and fresh ,I wear it daily at the moment.

Excellent, thanks for all the suggestions.

Budget is anything up to about £50 if needed, ideally £30 max.

I will definitely check out m&s. I forgot to add I am in my early 40s, I don't want anything too "young" either.

I like Clinique happy, I got a large bottle for £15 in the duty free sale section at Rhodes airport so I use it with abandon!

SylvieLaufeydottir · 29/10/2023 18:51

I like Glossier You as a low key everyday scent. "Sexy clean skin" is how I heard it described and that sounds about right to me.

You can pick up samples of just about any scent on eBay cheaply if you didn't already know, btw.

Ruthietuthie · 29/10/2023 19:09

I wear Petite Cherie by Annick Goutal every single day. It's light, sort of smells of pears and peaches, but not sweet.

Orangewall · 29/10/2023 19:13

Nuxe perfumes (can be found in M&S) are my favourites and aren’t excessively expensive. Another vote for Zara perfumes and M&S perfumes though!

Bookist · 29/10/2023 19:24

Blanc by The White Company. It's my every day Summer perfume and it's only £30 x

Because a friend of mine said it smelled like leather and something else!

So I love it, but not sure what she was getting at, she loved patchouli!

Nuxe and Narcisco Rodriguez have a top note which I really can’t get along with, my DM loves them.

Kate Spade Truly Dazzling was an everyday perfume when I worked in an office.
