Thanks @clowniform (and everyone else who commented, just catching up now). I read online that I should soak the jumper in cold water with a little conditioner and then stretch it out and dry flat. So I did that. But sadly it is still a bit small. I am going to wear it around the house today and see if that stretches it any more.

@clowniform , I think the Barbour and the silk/jacquard are similar. I have the green jacquard trousers that are being altered at the moment. They are beautiful but they aren’t a thick jacquard.

Has anyone got this and know what the sizing is like?

I’m kind of enjoying the calm of not buying a lot. But at the same time I’m missing the sale frenzy and chatter. I reckon the Winter sale will start on the Weds/Thursday before Christmas with maybe a little snicket for Black Friday (no reference will be made to BF tho of course….).

Hello, me again with sizing queries. I am quite taken by the big baggy cords in tent green but when they arrived they were massive! So I’ve just today managed to track some smaller sized ones from a store. I’m so confused by the sizing. I thought now we were going with our ‘normal’ size, but that doesn’t seem to work.. anyway.. grumbling aside, has anyone got these cords? And if so, did you take your normal size, old toast sizing or supposed new toast sizing?? 🤯

@Saurus72 - yes, it is peaceful not buying. I was tempted to buy another Chup pair of socks but have resisted- will definitely pick up in a sale if appears. I also think a 4 day sale late November for a clear out of lingering summer stock and any returns from September's sale.

I'm guessing Thurs before Christmas (after 2pm) for the main one - it normally starts pretty quickly after the cut-off time for 'Next Day delivery' by Chritsmas.

@Stoic123 The Chup socks are elite aren’t they? I’m wearing mine now and I haven’t had cold feet all day long. I’ve added some more to my Christmas list because I mainly have gift cards but my mum really likes us to have presents she can wrap - she’s 78 so who am I to deny her the pleasure of that?!?

I’m still tempted by the Swedish stockings but they’re so expensive not sure I can bring myself to buy them.

Great to hear there are more 5'4 people like myself wearing Toast. I have a few bits that are quite precious to me, although the colours have not suited me for the past few seasons so I tend to avoid tops and dresses at the moment.

Will check out the trousers mentioned. I love the look of the pull on cords (used to have some, but have heard they have changed?), my old ones were a bit too tight at the waist. Am afraid of going a size up as the rise is very long and might look odd.
A lot of the reviews suggest the sizing is all over the place

@Tsukiko i haven’t had that with the cords, but maybe the current ones are a new batch of sizing, not sure.

@Snowyowl78 I’ve been looking at those boots the are beautiful, and I think they’d be useful.

Also yearning after the tassel loafers, I saw the loafers on a live the other day and they looked super. I liked how they came so high up the foot. I suspect the boots will be just as good.

Wonder if we can ask Toast to show specific items on a live … but I guess they’d have such a list of requests it might not be possible.
