Young looking face with old looking neck

I'd be grateful for some tips. My face has no wrinkles and looks youthful. My chin / neck, however, is another story: there's a saggy bit under my chin and my platysma muscles show - unevenly what's more.

I've never had cosmetic surgery or even botox, but am considering possibly botox for my neck. Or are there any other less 'scary' things I could do for this?

Many thanks

Do you spend a lot of time looking at your own neck?

SummerCycling · 17/10/2023 15:29

@ProvisionsOnTheDock I don't think so 😂but whenever anyone takes a photo I notice it because it doesn't match my face - it looks like someone 20-30 years older.

I had cancer treatments including chemo that made my hair fall out, so my hair is now very short (it used to be long) so it could be that I'm extra aware of my neck now there's no long hair? That's certainly possible.

How incredibly helpful.

Also, bump 😊

What about growing your hair longer again & wearing polo necks in the meantime now the weather is getting colder. Prai neck creams are good, you can get them in M&S or from QVC where you’d get a refund if you didn’t get on with them after a few weeks. But I expect you’re more conscious of it than anyone else is so try not to be too upset about it.

why @ProvisionsOnTheDock ?
You always so helpful?

I hear you, OP. I'm also conscious of having a really saggy neck which looks much older than my face. I suspect genetics and sun damage are the main culprits.

I'm trying face yoga but no real results so far. I might invest in a neck cream but I'm dubious it'll make any difference 🤔

I notice it looks worse when I'm dehydrated - I do spend all day on Teams calls and there's not much else to think about in some meetings!
