And how are you styling them?

Ooh, following.

I’m still in my wide leg cropped at the moment.

Wondering about getting some more wide leg full length for autumn..

Moredarkchocolateplease · 29/09/2023 20:34

I've just bought some wide ankle length frayed hem ones from mango. Just with my woolly jumper and cream suede pumas. No great style statement!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 29/09/2023 20:38

Same ones I wore last autumn. They still fit and flatter and it's been so warm I’ve been in skirts, dresses and loose trousers for ages....

Doggymummar · 29/09/2023 20:39

I don't own any jeans, have various cords though and canvas skinnies

Nothingbuttheglory · 29/09/2023 20:39

Early 2000s Diesel bootcut. Couldn't afford them then, tenner from Vinted this time around.

MorrisZapp · 29/09/2023 20:46

High waisted slim/skinny.

Sparehair · 29/09/2023 20:50

I just ordered these. I suspect I may look like the “reality” of an expectations vs reality meme as a somewhat less willowy than the model but I’m trying to be optimistic as I think they look great.

Dark green cords - m&s

wide legged frays - h&m

all worn with flatforms or docs

Same

shitafrick · 29/09/2023 21:47

Stradivarius slim mum jeans with cardigans and jumpers.

gwanmen · 29/09/2023 21:56

Tried all sorts. Gone back to skinnys.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/09/2023 22:00

I’m really liking an oversized, full length jean at the moment. I’m going between Levi’s “baggy dad” which are very wide, and the 90s 501 which is a slightly baggier straight leg. Currently with various pairs of Adidas and New Balance trainers, sweatshirts, and Breton tops, but soon it will be DM monkey boots and big hairy jumpers. I also have Levi’s 80s mom jeans which I really like - a more tapered leg which looks great with Docs.

mynameiscalypso · 29/09/2023 22:09

M&S Siennas mainly. Same as last year.

JemOfAWoman · 29/09/2023 22:09

Found an amazing fitting jean from Momosh - can't believe it after all this time!

Bootcut with a collared shirt under a v neck sweater and brogues or boots.

Coffeedrinker7 · 29/09/2023 22:42

I recently got some Levis ribcage jeans and I’m surprised by how much I like them! Time to sell all those ill fitting mom jeans I tried to like in Vinted…

lookingforMolly · 29/09/2023 22:50

As I'm still overweight I'm just wearing the 2 size 16 pairs of jeans in my wardrobe that actually fit me.

A high waisted pale blue denim pair of fairly straight leg jeans from Primark...

&

A high waisted slim cut dark blue denim pair from Next.

Just googled the baggy dad. Really like those. I always forget about Levi’s which is ridiculous given they are the GOAT and I wore nothing else in my teens and twenties.

I'm not usually a jeans wearer but this season I have some wide leg, high waisted ones, not a style I have ever owned before

Firstly these M&S ones that are new in.
But I'm wearing them shorter & just above the ankle bone.
Secondly these old M&S button fronted fly cropped jeans in a straight leg. I have them in all three colours. Loose, casual, stylish & really comfy to wear.

Straight leg: Jil Sander for Uniqlo, Levi (can't remember the number but slightly wider ), Community Clothing.

Wide leg: M&S

Curve/barrel leg: Uniqlo U

With: Solovair shoes/boots, men's cardigans, plaid shirt, or 1950s/60s jackets,

I was out and about with my toddler other day wearing old pair of High waisted skinny jeans. I know these aren't particularly on trend at the moment but they are comfy etc.

Anyway, there was a group of students (uni age I'd guess) and I overheard the alpha girl saying in her Sloane-y voice (this is in Bristol) - oh yeh they're like a mix of jeans and leggings, they're awful (clearly about me- LOVELY). And then one said aw but the toddler is cute (yes she is thank you very much).

Clearly they thought I couldn't hear / didn't care.

Anyway, now feeling a leeetle self conscious of my skinny jeans. Took me ages to get into this trend and now it's all baggy baggy. And I just have an enormous tummy so they make me look ++++

So. Wtf. I remember baggy jeans the first time round but I was slim enough to pair with crop top / vest top / tight fitting top.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 30/09/2023 09:24

@Sparehair they are brilliant. I have had the mid blue ones for a while, and recently bought the black for winter. I just love them.

@Cantonet i have the button fly M&S jeans - from early 22? I find they look great first on and then really stretch out as the day goes on.

Moveoverdarlin · 30/09/2023 09:28

Holland Cooper skinny biker jeans. I just can’t get onboard with Mom, bootleg, wide leg jeans. I’m between a size 10 and 12 and I think they add about a stone to my ass.

I wear them with jumpers and pretty much any shoe or boot - white trainers, loafers, sandals, knee high boots, ankle boots.

They’re quite expensive so also wear M&S cosy jeggings at this time of year, I buy them in short length so you can wear with trainers and loafers.
