I remember her 80s heyday - she was never out of a swimsuit! She and Caroline seemed so glam compared to the British royals. And indeed they still are - no visiting sewage plants and sausage factories for the Monaghesques. Their lives seem to be a series of balls and awards ceremonies!

Well, here are the Borbon outfits in a bit more detail, and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Three very stylish women just missing the mark, imo. I'm not keen on Leti's pastel trouser suits, and the shape doesn't flatter her, although I do like the shoes, they add a bit of interest. Leonor's dress swamps her a bit and Sofia's seems a bit out of proportion. They all looked better on the informal night out recently.

Leonore's dress looks like something Mathilde would wear.
It's actually prettier on close up.

The jacket ( effect ) on Sophia's dress stops too short on her, it needs to be a couple of inches longer.
I also think the long curtain style hair does nothing for her.

I'm a sucker for that shade of pink so we'll agree to disagree on Leti's Boss trouser suit.

I don't think the problem is the pink necessarily, rather the cut and shape, although to be fair I'm not a fan of pastel trouser suits!
You're right about Leonor's dress, though @LadyEloise1 - it would definitely suit Mathilde!

Here's Felipe and Letizia recreating their first official (they'd already been dating in secret for a while) meeting at the then Prince of Asturias awards nearly 20 years ago! Letizia was covering it for the news network she worked for at the time.

Yes she has @justasking111. I think Leonor has inherited her original nose - not that there was anything wrong with it!

Leonor has inherited the Borbon's nose. It's not that bad, she's a stunning young woman.

I agree that those particular outfits are just not quite right. It least it proves that they are just human and make the same mistakes as most of us- but if it was a stylist then I wouldn’t be best pleased 😆.

Loved Felipe and Letizia’s “20 years later” photo. It’s hard to believe that they were able to keep their relationship entirely secret - it was bombshell news in Sain when they announced their engagement. Imagine William had announced totally out of the blue that he was going to marry Holly Willoughby 🤣

Charlene and Albert were at the rugby at the Stade de France last night. Tense match for her to watch, no doubt!

I actually quite like the idea of Sofia's Sandro dress but even on the model on the site the proportions seem slightly off. A few more inches on the top and it would be fine. It reminds me a bit of a tweedy dress Kate once wore and has never (why??) repeated.

Gosh, Felipe was gorgeous! Well, still is, but he really was the fairy tale handsome prince.
I suspect their romance was an open secret in media circles because a lot of Leti's friends would likely have been journalists and presenters, but as Leti was one of their own, they kept it quiet. Anyone who blabbed knew they'd be crossed off the wedding guest list and probably blacklisted by the palace for the rest of their career.
