They are ok but not cut off as low as the FP ones, which is the feature I like the most. I have a similar pair bought from Aldo years ago and the low cut seems much more flattering on me than the usual ankle boots.

The FP boots look so cool. I love them!!! They are ridiculously expensive but the other suggestions are not at all similar so I'm afraid you are paying for the cool factor.

Have no fear! Actually part of their appeal is that it's such a versatile shape! It's like brogues or similar shoes, boot (pardon the pun!) with a twist. Skinny jeans, mom jeans, rolled up chinos, even skirts - I can wear anything with the Aldo pair. They were probably a third of the price of the FP ones 🙈

Time to put half of my shoe collection up on Vinted methinks 🤣

It's not clear to see on my first post, but these are cut off under the ankle, not above, so unfortunately regular ankle boots won't do. So strange that it's apparently such an unusual cut.

@theescapeladder I don't think the FP ones are outrageously expensive, if you love them. But I couldn't afford them at the moment. The problem with compromise is, most of us don't wear shoes we buy and don't love which makes cheap shoes even more expensive.

Searching "low cut Chelsea boot" came back with some that were cheaper or in the sale.

I bought a pair of free people ankle boot shoe things last year and I love them and they've lasted really well and I think you should just go for it op!!
I love a feature ankle - it's my best and thinnest body part!!
