How do you take off your mascara?

I'm curious to know! How does everyone remove their mascara?

I use baby wipes but it can't be good me pulling the mascara off or is that normal?
A cleanser smudges all the mascara onto your face and you can still feel bits of mascara on your eyelashes.

Anyone have any good tips?

Tubing mascara. Just wash off with warm water.

Time40 · 03/09/2023 18:22

Baby oil. It's cheap and it works.

Blossomandbee · 03/09/2023 18:23

A face wash in the shower.
I've got really sensitive eyes and any oils and creams make my eyes puffy.

Clinique take the day off. Marvellous stuff.

Same here

Or bodyshop chamomile cleanser

Waterproof make up remover with reusable cotton pads. I find wipes don't take them off well. Then followed micellular water.

Side note- but reusable pads are great. Wipe and straight into net and laundry bin.

Micellar water on a reusable cotton pad. I fold the pad in half and use the folded edge to rub the underside of my lashes (ie where the mascara goes on). Comes off easily.

I have used Elemis Pro Radiance cleanser, it’s amazing and I wouldn’t use anything else.

Vaseline and a wipe. Hydrates the area and makes it feel really cared for. I have horrible reactions to almost anything that isn't Vaseline, it causes my eye area to burn and sting. Dermatologist suggested Vaseline and I've never looked back. Does a bloody good job too.

fettuccini · 03/09/2023 18:45

I use the Inkey list Pat cleansing balm. Yes it gets all over your face, you wipe it off with warm water and a soft cloth.

StoatofDisarray · 03/09/2023 18:46

I wear waterproof Lancôme doll eyes and the only thing that takes it off it is Nivea double effect eye makeup remover.

Lndnmummy · 03/09/2023 19:20

Tubing mascara here. Comes off with just water in my evening shower.

blackpinkinyourarea · 03/09/2023 19:26

I wear maybelline sky high which is a tubing mascara. It comes off super easily while having my evening shower.

Noicant · 03/09/2023 19:30

Oil cleanser followed by foaming cleanser, everything comes right off

gingergiraffe · 03/09/2023 19:37

I use Avene eye make up remover on a cotton pad. I have very sensitive eyes and this is perfect.

I have washable cloths. I use Nivea eye makeup remover. Put it on the cloth, hold on eye for 30 secs and comes off easily.

This.

fettuccini · 03/09/2023 19:45

What is tubing mascara? I've never heard of this before. Sounds very good!

gravitytester · 03/09/2023 19:53

I use my cleansing balm of the moment- I'm not very faithful with cleansers!

Tubing mascara. Just wash off with warm water.

I saw a tiktok of one of these being removed and was so intrigued, it also looked AMAZING before she took it off.

What one do you use?

herringboneparquet · 03/09/2023 20:04

Erm.... eye make up remover?! Am I the only one? Nothing else takes it off properly.

MrsMous · 03/09/2023 20:04

Bookish88 · 03/09/2023 15:57

I use a miscellar water cleanser. If you put it on a cotton pad and hold it against the eye for 30 seconds or so I find it comes away quite easily and doesn't leave any mascara residue on my lashes.

This. Miscellar water is the best

Shinytaps · 03/09/2023 20:08

I use the Nivea eye make up remover that is blue and you shake and it all merges. I've never found another like it. Use with cheeky wipes washable pads.

youveturnedupwelldone · 03/09/2023 20:17

I use make up remover/microfibre cloths like these www.argos.co.uk/product/8962676 . Just need some hot water and it comes off very easily. I may also use Clinique take the day off depending on how the mood take me!

mynewusername2023 · 03/09/2023 20:27

Another vote for Clinique take the day off balm. I do then go over my face and eyes with some miceller water on a water pad.

Iamblossom · 03/09/2023 20:35

I wash my face with this and it removes all traces of make up including the very dense mascara I wear

How do you take off your mascara?
Snugglemonkey · 03/09/2023 20:36

I use clinique take the day off to remove everything. Leaves my skin feeling lovely!
