Aggh- I'm a full grown adult going to Reading festival

What on earth do I wear??!
Given that the forecast isn't great 🙄
We are only there for the day (im not insane 🤣) as my son wasn't old enough to go.
I was going to wear trainers & a Uniqlo dress with a combat jacket , but think maybe DM boots might be better in case of mud? My hair will look like crap if it rains - can I get away with a straw trilby type hat or will it melt in the rain? God I'm too old for this 🤦🏼‍♀️

Ok so I went last night - didn't get there til 6. Ground was really dry which was surprising as it has been raining on and off. I wore jeans, dms, vest top and jacket with a hat for rain. Was fine. Got quite near the front for The Killers which was amazing, but sadly a lot of dickhead behaviour in the crowd. Thank goodness my H had hold of me as I nearly was knocked off my feet several times. Loos were fine in between sets- I didn't drink tho so only went once. Was an experience and my son loved it but I won't be back!!

We've just got back to the hotel. We stayed for the silent disco but decided to go early as thought the queues for returns would be rammed but not too bad

I saw little queuing apart from the loos after two sets tonight. Just said the behaviour overall was very good but I was shocked today at the litter....wtf happened last night. Friday it was quite tidy.

We couldn't get a taxi so walked back, the roads were heaving with people being picked up and clogging the roads. So glad OH didn't pick us up
