We keep a footstool by the bed for that purpose. But then we only have the one Corgi. And she does snore.

The royals do love their dogs.

I agree about Diana’s outfit looking right for today, bar the shoes. I have not liked the 70s revival as it made me feel so old and some of it was a bit dreary.

I loved (still love) the 80s with frills, bows, new romantics etc. I still have a beautiful large red hair bow that I have never been able to throw out. I suffered with alopecia and the 1980s hair accessories meant I could much more easily disguise the patches by being creative and on trend.

Keep the bow, @Sisterpita ! I agree with you about the 80s, there were a lot of bright colours and better fabrics. I liked the New Romantics, it was different and stylish.

@Sisterpita I owned one of those bows that Fergie popularised when I was in primary school in the late 80s - black velvet with silver dots and I thought it the height of fashion!

I'm afraid I am absolutely not a fan of 80s style - at all. All those puffs and frills and flounces!

I think it came after a decade of brown. Ugly clothing and horrible fabrics. It just felt so optimistic and different.

I didn’t have a bow. Not by itself anyway.

I had a netty snood with a bow above it.

Max n Wax's youngest has started at UWC but Adriatic rather than Atlantic. Can't say I blame her for choosing Italy!

An observation for you.....when my folks had their 60th wedding anniversary the telegram from the palace was signed and in the name of the Queen. A friend in FB yesterday had one for her parents and it came from and signed by Charles and Camilla. I just thought that was interesting!

Sadly my parents didn’t quite get to their diamond anniversary. They would have loved to get a card.
