Good Lord. That is awful in all ways. Colour, creases, asymmetrical cut, shoes, hat, coat... Poor Max; she has strayed far from the herd with this outfit, even for her.

Goodness, that is a very green creased dress.

Bring back the frog dress, all is forgiven.

I think just by itself and without creases the green would be striking. But it just doesn't work with that weird turban, beige shoes and trench coat.

I'm a big fan of Max but just...nope! Can't get behind that bright green dress, odd headgear and mac combo 😱

Here's Rania visiting a community kitchen run by women. They all look beautiful in the traditional clothes. Rania too, very pretty in the floral version. She's just turned 53, and looks beautiful.

We tend to like Rania's style on here! She does like to mix up the traditional with a more modern look. Very chic.

Rania is undoubtedly very beautiful but she's had a huge amount of work done on her face. Hopefully she's laying off the fillers now, as it one point she was really overdoing it. I agree that she is skilled at mixing traditional and contemporary styles.

It's so difficult for women to age in the public eye, isn't it? I know we've said the same about other royal women, including Leti, CPM and Kate.

So true, I think Princess Caroline is one of the few exceptions who hasn't gone down the plastic surgery and filler route.

I think many women in royal circles do this getting older thing really really well.

I prefer it if folk don’t ficher too much with their faces. I love to see what life has brought to the garden party. In my humblest opinion it makes people seem all the more attractive.

Clothes can be hard to get right as we advance in years sometimes. If they’re paired with a kind face and good underpinnings, the worst you’ll get is a reaction or look like the attached picture.

For me, it doesn’t matter if you’re experimenting with different styles because you’ve sprouted a belly, gone wide across the beam or gone grey or gone slim.

I love seeing people try new looks. I’m too reluctant and a bugger for the drab but fair play to those who do it in the full view of everyone. 👑

I agree about the new looks, which is why I like Max so much! She sometimes gets it a bit wrong, but wows with colour and bling.
I agree that Princess Caroline is still looking beautiful and elegant, with not too much intervention.

I remember using a full tin of Insette hairspray (Elnett was out of my budget) and extra strength bright green hair gel in the 80s to try to achieve Camilla sweepies.

I invariably was left with rustling, crispy, hairy wings.

QC suits the jaunty hat. The green needs a wee bit more oomph for me.

Princess Anne suits a vibrant red too.

I'm in Stockholm for a few days and it's nice to see the tabloids here are as obsessed with the Swedish royals as the likes of the Sun and Mail are with the Brits!
