Face oil

I have very dry sensitive skin. I've spent a lot of money on face creams, hydrating cleansers and I still feel its dry and tired looking.

I see some people put an oil on their face, can anyone recommend one?

Sunday Riley oils are lovely, but my favourite is Bioessence Squalane and Vitamin C oil; I got a mini in an advent calendar a couple of years ago and it was a revelation.

Budget choice; Superdrug Vitamin E oil - the whole range is great IMO and usually on offer Smile

Bio oil is really

ArcticBells · 12/08/2023 19:59

... good and effective on dry skin

Rosehip oil

Neals Yard Rose is lovely as is Guerlain Midnight Secret. Aldi do good ones, if you can find eg on eBay the CBD oil is amazing.

Rosehip essential oil is good for anti ageing.

Garden of wisdom Rosehip Oil.
I have really sensitive reactive skin & it is calming & hydrating.

Express0 · 12/08/2023 20:23

The ordinary rosehip oil

Lisarinnaslipss · 12/08/2023 20:25

I also have very dry, sensitive skin and I love the revolution oils, particularly the gold elixir. It sinks in nicely and makes my skin feel really nourished.

Passmeaplacard · 12/08/2023 20:27

Rosehip oils are lovely and no need to spend lots
could be worth some layering of Hyaluronic Acid and moisturiser too

WetherspoonsCarpet · 12/08/2023 20:37

Face theory rosehip oil is good value as it's a large bottle - lasts ages as you only need a few drops. They do lots of other types of oil too.

whysorude · 13/08/2023 00:05

Coconut oil - a jar from the cooking oil aisle in the supermarket that I use on my face, body and hair.
Sweet almond oil from any chemist etc.
Argon oil from same as above, though as it is a bit too rich for my skin I use it sparingly.
I did have a Kiehls oil/serum which was lovely but to be honest had no greater effect than the cheaper oils above.

Pinkitydrinkity · 13/08/2023 00:13

Superdrug’s Vitamin E range has a very reasonably priced oil.

Boots botanics range also has several oils. I really like the night time one.

ThereIsNoBritishSummerTime · 13/08/2023 00:15

I have dry sensitive skin, and honestly organic extra Virgin coconut oil from Holland & Barret or the supermarket works great! I use it all over my face and body and have never broken out of has an issue with it!

bloodyeffinnora · 13/08/2023 00:17

I love the rose hip oil from Pixi but I just got skin blanket from revolution Sali Hughes and it's amazing 👍🏼

Cowlover89 · 13/08/2023 02:08

Bio oil or coconut oil

HappiDaze · 13/08/2023 02:08

That said I've used Clarins oil and Sunday Riley in the past

Most oils are pretty good

Just try a rose hip oil you can't go wrong with that as a starter oil

Upandonward · 13/08/2023 07:40

Rosehip oil. I also use it on my hands after applying it to my face.

Merlotmum85 · 13/08/2023 07:47

Elemis superfood face oil has made a massive difference to my skin

Iamanunsafebuilding · 13/08/2023 07:54

I use the Nuxe oil in the pic above

WhatNow20 · 13/08/2023 08:24

Thank you everyone! Do you use it just at night or is it a morning and night thing?
