I've never had a blazer. (Since school anyway)
I've tried them on from time to time and they're just not me.

I think it is pretty unusual to meet someone who has never worn trainers.

PuppyMonkey · 12/08/2023 16:42

Never worn one of those hideous puff sleeved, tiered, floral monstrosities that have passed for summer dresses the last couple of years.Grin

Why did you finally succumb??

My partner bought a pair, he was going on quite a long sailing holiday and they were perfect as boat shoes. That’s what they were originally. I tried them on and they were really comfortable, bright yellow, light and airy, easy to get on and off. And I thought they were actually quite cute. They’ll be perfect for the beach and mooching on holiday in Greece next month.

Trainers other than for sports. Ripped denim, animal print, tie dye, leggings, pleather, a band T shirt, anything with a noticeable brand name, a hoodie, skinny jeans, a sleeveless polo neck, a crop top.

AuntieMarys · 12/08/2023 16:54

Dresses
Mom jeans

dullandgrey · 12/08/2023 16:58

Leather jacket as they don't suit me

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 12/08/2023 17:03

A thong. Nothing I have ever heard makes them sound like a good idea.

KohlaParasaurus · 12/08/2023 17:25

Never ever?
Dr Scholls or Birkenstocks.
A blouse with a fussy neckline.
A poncho, swoncho, slanket, Dryrobe, Oodie or any other wearable blanket.
Bay City Roller trousers (I was the right generation).
An A line skirt.
A replica football shirt.
Team or national sports kit that I haven't earned the right to wear.

I do own scarves and shawls because I like knitting them and nobody in my family wears them, but I've never worn them in earnest.

SocksAndTheCity · 12/08/2023 17:44

I've never worn actual Crocs, but I do have these https://www.adidas.co.uk/adidas-by-stella-mccartney-clogs/HP6712.html? and they're a lot more comfortable than I was expecting (and snazzy 😀).

RampantIvy · 12/08/2023 17:48

I have never owned any Crocs either, but I bought these which are brilliant for slipping on when taking rubbish out to the bins or compost heap. They are aslo exceptionally light and comfortable.

Pigtailsandall · 12/08/2023 17:49

Very few things, tbh. I think it's fun to experiment with fashion. I usually buy styles that are new to me second hand to see if they suit me, and donate back if they don't.

But off the top of my head, crop tops as I've never been confident enough to wear them (and have always carried any excess weight on my stomach area). Never had over the knee boots, although I would have liked to. I've also never had a co-ord set although I'm not ruling it out.

I suppose people who never wear trainers don't exercise... I'd find it hard to get by without a pair even for that.

I agree. There are some things I know will just not suit me, but blanket statements such as "I don't do dresses" or "I don't wear trainers" come across as very rigid thinking.

narniabusiness · 12/08/2023 18:07

A leopard print fur coat, although I’ve always secretly wanted one but I know I will look more bag lady than rock chick in it 😭

NancyJoan · 12/08/2023 18:13

I have never owned, or worn, a fleece. Or anything suitable for DofE.

BreakfastOfWaffles · 12/08/2023 18:19

Anything with a peplum. The enemy of the pear shape!

Cargo pants. If I need to carry that much stuff I take a bag.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 12/08/2023 18:23

Back in the early 90s there was a trend for frilly white blouses and sort of stretchy black dresses to go with them. I never really wore these as I don’t suit white and I’d done the New Romantic look back in 80s.

Boob tubes like they are now, no apart from once or twice. Same with spaghetti strappy tops, both my best friends had small busts, I always had a bust and I hated them. They bought me a sequin one once for Christmas which I wore once.

TroysMammy · 12/08/2023 18:32

Boob tube
Shell suit
Pedal pushers
Cold shoulder tops
Ripped jeans
Crocs

memyselfiesandI · 12/08/2023 18:34

Dungaree

memyselfiesandI · 12/08/2023 18:36

Leather jacket. I don't want to spend hundreds on any piece of clothing

Lilsoph · 12/08/2023 18:37

I so wanted Bay City Rollers trousers with tartan … same era as Kolha. Also never worn a playsuit. I have worn a jumpsuit and dungarees but that was in the late 70s, early 80s 🙄

PankWuffin · 12/08/2023 18:40

Never had anything strapless (tops or dresses). I got married when wedding dresses all seemed to be strapless and I bought mine secondhand so didn't have as much say in what I got, so that was a strapless dress which I then had straps added to. I don't like the look of strapless on me and would be forever hoiking them up anyway.

I've also never owned a playsuit or leather anything other than footwear and bags. Just not a fan of it for clothes or jackets.

BCBird · 12/08/2023 18:50

Boob tube. Got a decent rack never bothered. Jumpsuit- son. Shell suit- thank God🤪

BCBird · 12/08/2023 18:50

Sob not son
