Hello :)

I am going to a wedding at the end of the month and I am rubbish at dressing myself. I have dresses I like but I don't know if they actually suit me. My figure is slim/athletic, small breasts (would prefer to wear a bra as post breastfeeding has left them a little worse for wear). Can you lovely ladies help me please.

I have three dresses I am considering but also open to something completely different if anyone has any suggestions. Budget up to £100.

You have a lovely figure but the dresses are abit on the casual side for a wedding I think. The yellow halterneck lipsy one was lovely, that would have been my pick and here is another halter next style , I think this sort of style would be flattering for your figure. The sparkly one although gorgeous, I think is more of a prom/black tie dress and abit OTT for a wedding.

yeah i see what you mean about the sparkly one being a bit much. I seem to like really dull daytime dresses or super dressy ones.

@Verite1 I really like the cute/style I don't think the blue would suit me but perhaps the green would be alright. I have just ordered a stick on bra so will see how i get on with that.

@Persiana hmm im not really drawn to any of them, but i will have look in the shops and saturday and try that style, see how it looks on me. Thanks for all the suggestions

Personally would avoid lipsy and next etc. They do look a bit cheap. I've posted a few ideas - can vouch for ro+zo quality. Otherwise reiss, Ted baker, John Lewis are good places to try. You might find a hidden gem in warehouse or m+ s for a bit cheaper too. Good luck! You have a fantastic figure and the dresses you have aren't weddingy enough I don't think

Just about in budget, now I think this colour is gorgeous but green is my favourite.

If I had to choose one of the three I'd choose the third one, but don't love any.

I have a similar figure and V necks often don't really suit me. They make me look really straight up and down. I tend to go towards slash necks
/ boat necks / turtleneck / halterneck.

If I had to buy a dress for a wedding tomorrow I'd probably go for something like these! I'm trying to buy second hand a lot.

@Persiana thanks for the tips about lispy and next. I will look out for the stores you mentioned on Saturday.

Definitely need to try some stuff on to see what it looks like and get an idea for sizing too. I think i am inbetween a 8 and 10 tbh so i think it will depend on the shop.

@Canidoitreally oh yes i am the same, most of my clothes come from vinted or the charity shop. I really like the first two you posted not as keen on the third.

No not too white as it has a pattern. Looks really nice to me! I also like the green one posted earlier. Both look glam without being OTT and would suit your figure. I also am not gifted in the boob department so I know the necklines that look better! Halter necks are a great choice or high neck.

I like the third one best but I do think you could dress up more and you could probably wear anything and it would suit you.

Third suits your body shape best, lovely figure. First one drowns you.

The floral one on Vinted is really lovely, and I don’t think it’s too white, especially if you pair it with a pink or green layer as pp have suggested.

Vinted one with rose gold sandals, bag and a pashmina (dark green or the pinky colour from the dress) will look great for a wedding
