Because I went today and it was shit.

I wanted a bra. Found six that I liked. Not one available in my size.

Plain black jersey midi skirt. Would’ve been perfect but they had ONE in the entire store- size 18.

Denim maxi- they had a size 8 and a size 22.

Everything else was either a horrible colour, shape, fabric or all 3.

Why do they make it so hard to spend money there?

If you want to read something totally bonkers have a look at their size charts. I’m about 92cm bust, 74 waist 100 hip which makes me a 10 on size guides elsewhere. M&S claim I’d need a 12 in their clothing. Last pair of jeans I bought from there were an 8. I don’t think they’ve updated that chart since the 1980s

Their fleeces and coats/per una have lasted ages, as well as t shirts jeans linen trousers. After the death of BHS Debenhams Monsoon, there really isn’t much choice.

And their Colin the Caterpillar cakes have gone up to £9 Shock

Knickers with elastic remind me of being a kid! I haven't worn them for years! Boux avenue do a lace knickers with no elastic in or get yourself to primark and buy the seamless knickers range so so comfortable! Reasonably priced too.

Reasonably priced because they pay peanuts to their workers and don't care about the environment.

I still love M&S - it's so great (increasingly so) for dupes of more expensive brands. I typically breeze through on my way to the Tescos next door, and take photos of what I like.

Then I order them click and collect, try on in-store and return what doesn't fit at the cash desk.

I like their linen range but wouldn't want to wear their viscose stuff with all these fires around. It feels horrible too.

I’ve got some Good Move running trousers which I like, but the running jacket that I tried on was so tight on the wrists. I like sleeves rolled or pushed up but that was impossible.

It's not really M&S' fault that you wear clothes like this 😂

Are you saying that people shouldn't expect to be able to roll/push their sleeves up? Okaaaaay.
