Lovely smelling shampoo

Want one! all recommends welcome.

Not fruity. Woody, sandalwoody or a deep pungent floral would suit.

Oily, very frequently washed hair. Sodding chore so may as well get something uplifting and pleasant out of it!

No particular budget, as it will be my luxury ’feel good’ item, along with naice soap as I don’t use shower gel.

TIA 🤗

I really miss St Ives Jojoba shampoo of my youth, smell was glorious.

Sol de janero have a shampoo that's a lovely tropical smell. It's not much cop as shampoo though so I'd not recommend.

Maui shampoos and conditioners smell lovely.

Picoloangel · 24/07/2023 15:55

Aveda just doesn’t suit my hair. Turns me into Worzel Gummidge! Everyone else gets silky shiny results so I know I’m in the minority!

MissHarrietBede · 24/07/2023 16:23

Herbal essences one sounds great too!

Was not aware of Maui. More for me to research.

I do like Aussie, I find it rinses easily.

Dr Organic might be worth a look.

Lilypeony · 24/07/2023 16:33

Moroccanoil shampoo and conditioner smells amazing I use the volume one but they have lots of different styles

samestyle · 24/07/2023 16:35

Lush Big shampoo is really good for greasy hair

PurpleParrotfish · 24/07/2023 16:37

Faith in Nature Lavender and Geranium still smells strong enough to me, that’s my standard shampoo, and I’ve just bought the shampoo bar to try when the current bottle runs out.

IdealisticCynic · 24/07/2023 16:39

Kerastase is the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used - would buy it all the time if budget wasn’t an issue!

MissHarrietBede · 24/07/2023 16:40

Have had Dr Organic soap I think, but not shampoo.

Not tried Morrocan oil either.

Lush Big, will go sniff if the shop isn’t filled with teens 😆

Virtue shampoo also smells amazing.

I still mourn the passing of the Vidal Sassoon one in the dark brown bottle, which smelt of marzipan, and the Charles Worthington one in the pale purple bottle, which was just the most lovely floral, clean smell..

I have Aveda Shampure and it really dries out my hair so I only use it every couple of months or so to clarify my hair.

HappiDaze · 24/07/2023 17:18

When I used Aussie shampoo years ago I was often told my hair smelled nice

HappiDaze · 24/07/2023 17:20

My current shampoos smell fruity so it's no good for your needs OP

SiobahnRoy · 24/07/2023 17:22

Love the smell of Oribe but £££ Bumble & Bumble invisible oil is also nice

NameChangedAdInfinitum · 24/07/2023 18:50

Milk_shake shampoo and conditioners are nice. I like the smell of the daily frequent one plus the conditioning mouse. The moisture plus smells nice but I found it got quite strong using it, although my hair felt nice. Currently trying the energising one which I also like, it's quite fresh smelling and feeling, especially on my scalp. Might be worth a try.

MissHarrietBede · 24/07/2023 19:01

I did have a peachy smelling one which was quite nice @HappiDaze No idea which one, but do prefer earthier scents as a rule. Oribe, wow that is spendy! bet it’s lovely.

Milk Shake is also new to me!

Malin and Gotez shampoo and condition is also quite nice, my hair always feels clean after using that. I like Wild Mint face and body products, I've not tried their shampoo and conditioner yet but might be worth a look. Their face/body stuff is lovely and smells nice so I expect their hair stuff would too.

Bearpawk · 24/07/2023 19:38

Have you tried pureology?
It contains essential oil, the one in the purple bottle (smells of mint and lavender and it's gorgeous)

AmusableDragon · 24/07/2023 20:00

Kevin Murphy products have a lovely smell to them!

familyissues12345 · 24/07/2023 21:28

I love herbal essences. I know it doesn't fit your criteria though as most smell fruity

Notellinganyone · 24/07/2023 21:40

Molton Brown Indian Cress. Best smell ever.

Summerisnearlyhere1 · 24/07/2023 22:14

Faith in nature. Currently using the hemp and meadowsweet- smells nice but not overpowering.

I've got the faith in nature dragonfruit hair mask and that smells divine! They do a shampoo so might get that one.

Shuttheblinds · 24/07/2023 22:33

Oribe. Pricey but the best shampoo and conditioner you will ever use. Smells gorgeous too, so gorgeous that they even have a hair perfume in the same smell.
