Backwards in the USA

Im 55 and off on holiday on Tuesday. Something came up at work this week and I had to miss my appointment to get my eyebrows waxed and tinted.

I had a nail appointment booked somewhere else yesterday and the eyebrow “technician” there said she could fit me in. Bonus!

As she was doing them, she was telling me how amazing they were and how she’d like me to come and model for her training sessions. I was seriously expecting to look gorgeous. But they’re bloody awful. They look like two slugs mated with two hairy caterpillars and (exhausted by their lovemaking) died on my face- in remarkably different positions! I felt like crying.

I went straight from there to my hairdresser-who fortunately restored my faith in humanity. He’s a genius

So, my question is- will it be ok to spend the next three weeks walking backwards in the USA?
And secondly - does anyone have any tips for removing/fading the tint?

Rich cream or face oils will help fading the tint from your eyebrows

Try giving them a little gentle scrub with some baking soda and leave it on for a couple of mins?

Remember that eyebrows are sisters, not twins - they aren't meant to be exactly the same as your face isn't symmetrical. Each one has to follow its natural shape.

i think they look fine - definitely not too full or dark. But if you want them to lighten up just keep wiping them with cleanser or toner

I stopped getting mine tinted as it’s just too severe so just get them waxed (@ benefit)
it’s much more natural and I just put some product through them - gimme brow or something. Yours are fine, they’ll lighten with sun and washing your hair/face in a few days. They are a nice shape and your hair us gorgeous

When I did a bad box dye on my hair and rang the company (when they had customer service numbers!) they told me to use Head and Shoulders shampoo to speed the fading.
Not sure if it would work on eyebrows - don't get it in your eyes 😬.

OMG your hair is lovely. Eyebrows are fine, maybe different to what you are used to, but fine.

Why is it always the people who have the most gorgeous hair and eyebrows who moan and complain about how their stylist ruined theirs? Really get a life. You are only on here to brag.
If I were you I would definitively cancel my trip to the US. Or maybe wear a sack over my head. 😳

They look fine. And hard to see what you mean about 'different positions' given you're raising one eyebrow.

They look fine. Perhaps you aren't used to it but they don't look too dark

Your eyebrows look good! Apparently light and sparse eyebrows are one of the most ageing things- thick darker eyebrows make people look younger. Just a thought….your hair and make up look lovely.

I was expecting the picture to look scary, but they look great! It's hard to tell with just your eyes, but maybe you're worrying unnecessarily.

I don’t want to distract from the OP and her amazing hair, but what specifically should one get done to one’s eyebrows? In perimenopause here and have noticed my eyebrows getting much lighter and thinner almost as we speak! I used to use a teeny bit of pencil but it’s no longer enough.

@Intothewoodswithallthegoods get them tinted and threaded/waxed but kept as thick as possible. Will make a massive difference
