Fringe or Botox ? What do you do ?

AssertiveGertrude · 20/07/2023 12:44

Sorry for blunt question
my forehead lines are more obvious lately

I can afford Botox but know it’s short term and another regular expense if I like it ?

a fringe is an option but I have an ear length Bob and dark hair so it might be too much ? If I get a fringe I will need to wash it every morning and style to stay in place due to kink in my hair (this is ok - I tend to shower at night so this would be a two minute job?)

any tips or insight ? Maybe try Botox once to get an feel for how I would look

If you have hair that works with a fringe, I say get a fringe. I love fringes. Sadly I can't do a fringe due to wild frizzy disobedient hair.

Helpimfalling · 20/07/2023 17:23

Botox here! It helps prevent too!

windowof · 20/07/2023 17:27

Just embrace you as you are, there is definitely no need for Botox or a fringe. Ageing is a privilege, it's really sad how many young women are turning to Botox and lip fillers these days. Whatever happened to love the skin you're in?

Freshair1 · 20/07/2023 17:29

Does Botox smooth out lines?

SaleOfTwoTitties · 20/07/2023 17:44

I really dislike the look of botox. And yes, you can tell.

SirChenjins · 20/07/2023 17:46

Fringe. Botox gives an odd look when there are natural lines and other signs of ageing elsewhere.

FoodFann · 20/07/2023 17:49

Fringe and if you’re still unhappy, then Botox

Chewbecca · 20/07/2023 17:56

Neither!

Fizbosshoes · 20/07/2023 18:00

I didn't know botox was so popular Blush but then I think I'm too low maintenance for either botox or a fringe!!

AssertiveGertrude · 20/07/2023 18:11

Totally smooth skin aside from forehead so I don’t think it will make the rest of my face look aged but maybe I might try a fringe

None of the above

MariaVT65 · 20/07/2023 18:30

Neither! Own it! A fringe doesn’t suit me and no way would I ever consider botox.

GiddyGladys · 20/07/2023 19:49

Botox. Absolutely magic

Chypre · 20/07/2023 20:03

Botox works wonders, but it's an expensive habit - regular injections for the next 30 years round up to 54.000£... I'm resolving to Frownies patches overnight and Snoxin II serum in the morning routine. Does not erase lines completely, but definitely makes it 50% better (and they don't progress).

Treacletoots · 20/07/2023 20:06

Botox is good. Also recommend Tretinoin and Facegym. After a while you won't need the botox if you use these two.

Eloweeese · 20/07/2023 20:12

Fringe

Rachaelrachael · 20/07/2023 20:15

Botox is amazing! It was stop the wrinkles from getting worse too

raisedbygrizzlies · 20/07/2023 20:21

Botox...you don't have to look frozen. I got it for a lift and to stop me looking so furious, but I have some movement as I don't want to go Full Kardashian.

MJGGG · 20/07/2023 20:25

The world would be beautiful if we didn't have to hide natural ageing. Maybe I am an anomaly, but I think wrinkles, lines, and grey hair are beautiful and tells a story

NewNovember · 20/07/2023 20:25

Depends , how old are you op?

I look like a Hogarth print if I don't dye my very thin hair and have Botox to my forehead. Some people age beautifully, some don't and it's all about what makes you feel happy and confident.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 20/07/2023 20:30

If your forehead is lined a lot I’d go for lots of yoga as you’re obviously stressed!

Tret is better than Botox as said to be more natural.

Also try retinol, vitamin c serum and rosehip oil. Use spf50 there and if you smoke give up.

Increase healthy fats like olive oil, avocado and lots of salads and blueberries.

WoofWoofBeachLife · 20/07/2023 20:35

I like the idea of the frownies.

FancyFran · 20/07/2023 20:43

Beauty professional here.

I have never had surgery, botox or fillers. However I have never smoked, use SPF 30 in my products and eat loads of fish and fruit/veg.
I have just finished Ultimine serum from Shiseido , I have now started Sister and Co vit C serum. Clarins is good too.

Age is a privelage and some don't get there.
Personally when I make up mature faces I concentrate on well defined lips and great brows. I like a rose pink/coral blush with a Bobbi Brown primer.
I wouldn't bother with botox but a monthly Caci facial works wonders. I can tell if someone uses this system.

And I don't work for any of the above! 😄

Fringe for sure …it doesn’t have to be severe get it chipped into so it’s softer I love mine
