Trainers to wear with dresses

I know this is a bit of a controversial subject on MN. I was hoping to get some recommendations for stylish daily looking trainers to wear with dresses. I have a lot of swing and skater type dresses, I don't often wear trousers. I usually wear ballet flats but would like some trainers for longer walks without looking like a geek.

How do people keep white trainers clean?
I have leather Converse and they look so grubby. Just from day to day life.

i love these! I even bought a second pair just in case they stop making them.

I've got vegan Stan Smiths and light grey Rocket Dogs, the Stan Smiths look a bit smarter I think but the Rocket Dogs are the comfiest shoes I've ever owned.

I find Supergas really heavy, and Converse rub my toes.

What's the issue with Vejas?

Personally I love Vejas. The Esplar or the Campo.

I have also discovered Victoria trainers which look lovely and are lesser known (I think!)

I swear by Fitflop trainers. I wear my white pair with dresses and jeans. Like walking on a cloud!

I have these Victorias in a similar colour way and they are really comfortable.

Got converse too but they don't give much support as so flat, plus they can rub - so they are only for times I'm not walking far!

Also have the Puma bow ones which are very girly! Probably not fashionable at all but I love them

I've tried Vejas, Supergas, and Barbour in the past and found them all uncomfortable.

My allbirds were comfortable but fell apart. I had plain white leather pumas which I've loved but are totally past it now.

I might try stan smiths. I need to go into an actual shop to try some on but it feels like a lot of effort...

Did you need to size up in them at all?

I had plain white leather pumas that were so comfortable that I got another pair when they had become too scruffy to wear. I put them round the washer a few times too. They have quite a wide footbed which I needed when I bought them initially as I had a toe problem.

I have Victorias too but not quite the comfort level of puma imo.

I walked 12k on a beach holiday walk in them, no problem at all

I also have some low profile Lacoste that I occasionally wear with dresses that suit a lower profile style.

My favourites (kept for best so far so can't comment on long term comfort) are On running Cloud 5's

I used to have a lacoste white canvas pair. Could use trainer whitener on them after a wash. Had them years and they were falling to bits. I went to get a new pair for Hols and seen some white lacoste with rose gold trim in JD so bought them. Very comfy and were reduced! Win win.

Yep most teenagers also conform to a uniform of leggings or cycling shorts with nike sports socks and white air force trainers. Not exactly the epitome of original style themselves tbh.

I've just bought these They don't work with all dresses/skirts, but do work with some.

I've also got several pairs of New Balance, which are ridiculously comfortable - plus Converse low tops.
