Your make up must haves?

Curious to hear recommendations for products you swear by. I don’t use much make up and keep it very minimal but I don’t mind spending a bit for good products as I tend to use them all before buying new stuff (except for lipsticks).

My must haves are:
Bare Minerals powder fundation (I also try new ones every winter but always like to have one of these in my make up bag)
Charlotte Tilbury and Lisa Eldridge lipsticks (mostly the mat ones)
Nars Orgasm blush

Erborian bb cream, annoying it's so expensive but it's a HG
CT pillow talk lip liner, the lipstick is nice but a little too brown on me but weirdly the liner is the perfect shade
Ilia limitless lash mascara, another HG makes my lashes look so long, non-clumpy but again annoying it's a more on the pricey

jeaux90 · 11/07/2023 08:33

UKLash serum, made a massive difference to my eyelashes and eyebrows. I also love their mascara.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 11/07/2023 08:35

Bronzer, eye shadow stick and lipstick in the summer, plus tinted moisturise in the winter.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 11/07/2023 08:36

Bronzer from Jones road, eye shadow beauty pie and the lipstick is an old Revlon red.

TM from Shiseido, or Suqqu. they do the best TM and foundations.

Kosas Cloud Set face powder - not matte and doesn't separate or look cakey.

Clinique Dramatically different moisturise used as a primer. Discovered by chance that this makes a fantastic primer for foundation.

Tatcha VIOLET-C BRIGHTENING SERUM mixed with any foundation that I am using as I chop and change my foundations all the time. It makes every liquid foundation into a smoothing emulsion that glides on evenly, doesn't separate or go cakey and makes foundation feel weightless. As I've got older I don't want to feel that I'm wearing a face full of make up.

Mac concealer in a pot. I mix a variety of shades with a little brush.

I also love JML mineral magic powder for a super quick all over no make look as it buffs in really well.

Vaseline is a fantastic product and I apply sparingly to lips, blot and then apply lipstick and lips look smooth and plum. It's like a primer on my lips.

Maybelline Sky High mascara
Charlotte Tilbury brow pencil
Any of my MAC or Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks.

OldBeller · 11/07/2023 15:45

The only one I won't compromise on is the Nars Orgasm blush. But it has to be the liquid.

I'm also a very big fan of the Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner. I've been using that one for 25 years now.

Your make up must haves?
Tigs333 · 11/07/2023 19:01

Lashify lash system - lashes stay on for at least 7 days and I clean and reuse.
Nars orgasm blusher
lisa Eldridge lipsticks

Londonder · 11/07/2023 23:00

I am very curious to try Jones Road products. Is the bronzer the one in the pot that looks like gel? How do you apply it?

OP posts:
CymruChris · 11/07/2023 23:42

I have 2 items that are absolute staples - Estee Lauder doublewear foundation and Lancome hypnose mascara. Every time I try a new foundation or mascara, I regret it and go back to my faves!

Everything else I'm not too fussed. Although my most used eyeshadows are Charlotte Tilbury quads, I have 4 different ones.
