Hello again! Thread 33 or something!

Toast are now looking into the issue of my colour changing Ink Fracap ankle shoes. I'm currently waiting to hear whether the quality department want me to return them for review.
They did say that vegetable tan can fade over time but I couldn't see any mention of this on the product page, and pointed that out to them. Also I don't see changing from blue to brown can be construed as fading.

@faustina It fell to my knees, maybe just below, and I'm just a smidge under 5'7" and nearly evernly split legs to torso.

I've been laughing here going down a rabbit hole online re prairie chic (google assumed I meant chickens, that gave me a laugh!) I'm learning a lot!

Oh FGS saw the restock and got the chocolate shorts, drawstring waist denim dress, and, because the 'Breen' skirt was still oos, the Mariner skirt in dhal.
I promised DH yesterday, after his millionth (!) trip to the PO with return parcels, that there wouldn't be anymore 😁.

I ordered both the Dhal skirt and the Breen skirt. I kept the Dhal because the material drapes better on me. I have recently returned a 16 & 18 in Breen so they should be back up soon. Adored the colour but fabric a bit too stiff and didn’t fall well on me. Sadly.

Ooops! Sitting on my couch with a lurgy feeling sorry for myself, and just placed another order. The rust Emma and the alpaca cardigan in oatmeal. Though the cardigan disappeared just after ordering, so who knows if it will be fulfilled.

Does anyone have the needle cord workwear dress? I have both colours in my basket, it looks super cosy but I’m torn because of the drop waist, they don’t tend to suit me. Is it really quite oversize?

I’m wearing my snag shorts right at this moment in a (very hot) Mallorca. They are magical.

Went to work meeting today in pink smoke linen shirt, coffee linen trousers and novestas. Felt v nice and cooling in muggy rainy Scotland. The pink shirt I think is actually a bit tighter around the bust area than the coffee, interestingly.

@NotAMinimalist , I bought the navy in the sale and really like it. I don’t find it as oversized as reviews suggest, and I also don’t think the waist is all that dropped, a little more so at the back perhaps.
Annoyingly, the one I received has a small hole in it. I emailed them and they have just replied to say that they can give me a 15% discount but they have no more in stock to replace it. Which is obviously not the case, as I can see it online again. I can’t be bothered ordering again and returning though I don’t think, and emailing again to say not to refund the 15%.

I’ve now been asked to return the Fracap ankle shoes

We would like to have the item sent back to us for further inspection. If the item is found to have a manufacturing fault, a refund will then be issued to you.

I’m not sure how they will determine a change of colour as a manufacturing fault.
Really disappointed about these as they fitted well and went with loads of things. I will send them back tomorrow but I have no idea how long it’s going to take Toast to make a decision, or what happens if they decide it’s not a manufacturing fault.

@ScottishMouse ah yes, I remember reading that about the hole. It would be a pain having to return and reorder if you’re happy with the 15% off I suppose. But you know the hole is there and it depends if knowing about the hole will annoy you I guess? I’m glad you think the waist isn’t too dropped though. Both colours accidentally fell in to the post so fingers crossed.

I've been influenced by all the praise on here for the linen shirt in black coffee so am trying that, and am going to give the navy linen tie neck tee one more go

Sorry to be reading about yet another faulty item, what are you going to do@ScottishMouse ? And actually what are you going to do @Theteapotsbrokenspout , do you have a pic of you wearing them that might show the colour change?

I saw the cord tapered trousers in oil. I have them in acorn and firewood and love them. Never chose the oil because i have dogs and black shows hair badly.... but you know, i don't have this colour and I'm am idiot. But like you@ScottishMouse my size disappeared immediately so i don't know of it will be fulfilled.

I did cave and order the black v-neck tee - having received the khaki in my "only" order of the sale I realised what a perfect work top the black would be - in summer I go to the office more casually in patterned midi skirts but like a bit more coverage than a normal tee so this will work well.

I’m just going to keep the faulty one with the 15% off @dudsville. The fault is tiny and I can put a stitch in it. If I had seen the additional stock before placing my order for the cardigan and the tee, I would have reordered, but I just can’t be bothered now.

Amazed someone has returned the boot socks @dudsville. I'd be happy to pay full price on those (and plan to buy more). I got the Slate Broderie Dress. It is austere but elegant. No styling tips I'm afraid. I've given in (resistance is futile) and am now trying the Check Twill Shirt Dress in Olive just in case it is fab. I like the Plum Check which is similar (shame not 100% cotton too).

On a good note- Toast customer services has sent me a replacement spoon for the bento box. Thank you Toast.

Today's Toast outfit was the garment dyed linen trousers in green teal (from Jan sale) with a charcoal loop back easy sweater.

I had that outfit on yesterday, minus the novestas! Great outfit!

On coats, my favourite coat over Toast dresses is an oversized dark green one I got from Boden last winter. It is huge, cosy and almost too warm.

In cooler weather (and bare in mind I live in London so never far to walk to a bus or tube) I often throw on a long oversized cardigan and belt it, topped with a chunky scarf. I often wear thermals underneath the dresses to make this even cosier.

also could someone tell me how long my cashmere needs to be in the freezer.

@Alpacasoft has kicked me into action and I have decanted my collection to the moth proof bags bought months ago from Lakeland, but I have noticed a few stray moths over the last few weeks. My cashmere collection is probably worth more than the rest of my wardrobe put together so action is needed.

I know @stoic, they're such wonderful socks! Hope they don't arrive damaged or something. And thanks re the dress input. I spent my free time today learning more about how to wear the dress but I'm in two minds. I really like it, my dh doesn't. From the front, as I'm small busted, it makes a neat shape and looks not ridiculously oversized, but the back pleating is altogether different, and i don't see me wearing that style of dress in retirement.

I think the oil cords was just an impulse buy and i already regret it, and together with the brown dress they add up to more than half the cost of the boat neck linen dress in the new collection ... you all can see where my thinking is headed. I've only ever bought 3 full price items..... and i wouldn't normally have noticed this dress, but i love the landscape version so much...

@dudsville I did post a picture up thread of how the Ink Fracap look now, I did also send this to Toast, I’ll repost it here. I have packed them up to go back, I still had all the original box and packaging, and Toast sent me a returns label.

I remember seeing that. Do you have a pic of when this pair were new?

I forgot i also impulse bought that brushed check olive dress with the frilly collar I would remove.... wtf am i doing? End of sale fever?
