I dreamed last night that we moved back to our old house, a two bed place with the spare room accommodating a part time office. In the wisdom of my dream i thought i would turn it into a walk in wardrobe/dressing room. I do actually have a very small dressing room that i share with dh but clearly my unconscious is making plans to expand my wardrobe.

I’m a great believer in the unconscious knowing best…

It’s raining here again. I’m lying in bed still trying to construct an outfit in my mind and doing virtual holiday packing.

Very Toastie @Laska2Meryls hope you are snacking on mushrooms

Laska2Meryls · 07/07/2023 08:06

Fantastic weather here, but we are off to Cornwall in the campervan next week and weather forecast looking rainy... 🙄

Noodle421 · 07/07/2023 08:31

@Laska2Meryls enjoy your trip. I’d love your lifestyle. Life in a camper van sounds a great way to explore. You really suit the oar dress in a previous full pic you posted. I’m tempted !! The dresses are sometimes too voluminous for me and I’m not particularly petite. I’m a UK 12 and 5 ft 7/8. How is the fit for you ?

Saurus72 · 07/07/2023 08:40

I’ve ordered the oar check dress, really hoping it’s a hidden gem as the days of under £100 Toast dresses are v few and far between. Now hoping for a size 12 in the cotton/linen pinafore to appear though credit card is definitely not supportive of this endeavour…

Laska2Meryls · 07/07/2023 08:42

I am a 14/ 16 on top due to bust and wide shoulders ...so I have XL in new size sadly although a L would have fitted but I definitely wanted a looser fit .. its loose on the waist on me but Is quite voluminous on the bottom though ( I am definitely an inverted triangle shape . .. I think that M should be fine on you unless you are very busty .. ( I am 36e/f) .
It is a fab dress.. the sort that Toast do so well. I liked it all along and was surprised that it didnt sell so well, but its an absolute bargain now !

neveradullmoment99 · 07/07/2023 08:51

When will the sale end? Just ordered the denim ivy dress. £65 felt rude not to!

Stylish outfit @Laska2Meryls
It's really wet here. Raining for days. On summer holidays too. Its depressing. I don't feel like wearing anything nice. It's dismall. I really HATE Scotland for its perpetual rain!

clowniform · 07/07/2023 09:28

Lovely outfit, @Laska2Meryls and plans Where are your sandals from, please? Living vicariously through you as I've just emerged from a sweltering tube train -- too hot for any Toast but the Alder seersucker dress, which I stupidly returned last year in a fit of the being sensibles, and of course I don't like this year's rendition as much.

TerrierOrTerror · 07/07/2023 09:39

Finally caved for the first time this sale - the final reductions bought a few things in line with what I was willing to pay.

In other news if anyone remembers I bought the gingham check dress at full price and it developed a hole after a few hours. Got a replacement, wore for the first time today and the same thing has happened in the same place. I am furious particularly as it is so heavily reduced in the sale. I love the dress but I just don't think the seams have been made well.

Which gingham dress is it @TerrierOrTerror ? Really dissapointing.

faustina · 07/07/2023 09:53

@TerrierOrTerror - that is rubbish. Which dress is it?

Sympathy to all the people in the rain today.

It's the first properly hot day here for a while and I will be making the most of it. Luckily managed to find a pair of the side tab trousers of dreams in a 6 this morning very early so have ordered them. I almost ordered some more tees but I'm trying very hard to only buy for wardrobe gaps and so I didn't, and now they've sold out

Snailsaresweet · 07/07/2023 09:54

Thank you everyone who said that it was worth talking to Toast about the fact that the price had gone down on a sale item I'd bought. Just come off Chat with the promise of a £30 refund!

TerrierOrTerror · 07/07/2023 09:58

The gathered sleeve one. I love it, but the seams under the arm just don't seem right. It's not tight in anyway but they just seem to pull open. I'm going to see if they will give a partial refund or similar.

Someone mentioned a bra to flatten you slightly when wearing some of the toast shirts / shirt dresses, I assume this is a 'minimiser' bra. Can anyone recommend one, I’m a 30GG and usually wear balcony bras, so one of these might help.
Think it might have been @dudsville .

ilovecherries · 07/07/2023 10:35

I wear a minimiser bra, not to minimise as such (although I’m still a 32G) but it’s the only one that is comfortable after a botched breast reduction 4 years ago. Be warned though it’s a new level of fugly! It’s true to my bravissimo/boob or bust size) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Triumph-Womens-1KV15-Moulded-Plain/dp/B06Y173GDW?pd_rd_w=nQorQ&content-id=amzn1.sym.38f90169-67d8-49b7-8ef1-61bdff262c06&pf_rd_p=38f90169-67d8-49b7-8ef1-61bdff262c06&pf_rd_r=Q6R47C8JRXXEPDQ6P9X4&pd_rd_wg=efaAd&pd_rd_r=984d3973-cd5a-477b-ba80-667ab589c6d6&pd_rd_i=B06Y173GDW&psc=1&ref_=pd_basp_bia_rpt_ba_s_4_sc

Just about as fugly as that link! Sorry, not sure what I did wrong. They don’t do the G cups on Amazon, I think it was bra stop or somewhere similar I got mine. Or maybe the triumph eBay shop.

Hope that you like theOar check @Saurus72 .. I should ask Toast for commission on the !( But It was actually @dudsville who put me onto it first..)
@clowniform The sandals are M&S !! only bought a few weeks ago.. but it doesn't look like they are on the website any longer 😕

ilovecherries · 07/07/2023 10:39

I’m in a marmite outfit today. Easy poplin trousers, Toast voile shirt from maybe 5 years ago, and a zara waistcoat. Picture very dark, it’s dismal here.

I’ve had to order the duvet cover now that it’s further reduced
Bit annoyed with myself as the pillow cases were also reduced and I put them in my basket earlier.
When I finally decided to go for it they’re sold out
im pretty sure I’ll get them in next sale…I hope

Countmeout · 07/07/2023 11:00

The check brown dress arrived. It’s very brown and unfortunately my first thought was of the uniform of a girls school not far away . It just needs to be worn with a pair of cream tights to pass muster as uniform. The Alder which I have, is lifted by a purply colour in its check. This is just brown so brown . I suit brown I’m not adverse to brown but this brownnnnnn . Great fit love the shape I don’t think at the moment I can live with the colour. Different feel to the Alder, not sure it’s just as light. Going to sit on it over the weekend. Did I mention it was brown? why oh why did they not make this shape in a colour?

I may be in line for a 🍄

I have a minimiser from M and S bought quite a few years back, I think it just puts my boobs in a different place - everything has to go somewhere and I’m sticking to the pin. I bought a different style too to try and it made me look as if I just had two burgers in their baps under my clothes.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 07/07/2023 11:13

Thanks @ilovecherries and @Countmeout it seems hard to find them in my size. Brastop do have a Parfait in the right size, although I’ve not heard of that brand.
Might practice with my sports bra first as I think that has a similar effect 😄.

I just use a bralette. It flattens it all out.
