Mascara which stays on!

Can anyone recommend a mascara which stays on please? I often get panda eye smudges underneath my lower eyelid. Should I avoid getting moisturizer on my area in case this helps?

I use UK lash (and their serum) it stays on and doesn't smudge, but I don't actually use mascara on my bottom lashes anyway most of the time, especially in the day.

I have had a lifetime of smudged under eyes, even when wearing waterproof (definitely coming from top eyelashes!) and the only thing that stopped it is using tubing mascara because it doesn't melt with oil.

I'm just using the No7 one for now and am still hunting for one that gives decent lift and volume, but for the first time I'm no longer needing to rub my under eyes clean anymore!

I've watched videos on this- apparently using eye shadow primer under your eyes or a powder to absorb the oil helps this.
I use Aldi's Too Legit waterproof mascara which never budges but they only do it sometimes. Beauty Pies waterpoof stuff is completely unmoveable but then I can never get it off. Both of those stay on even after swimming.

Max factor 2000 calorie mascara

I found the No7 tubing mascara the best, I can wear it on the bottom lashes too, with no smudges even in the heat over the weekend

Another vote for No 7 Stay Perfect tubing mascara here. I bought the Clinique one first but it’s disappointingly clumpy - No 7 is so much better.

mamaison · 29/06/2023 22:31

Tubing mascara. I use MAC Extended Play.

Bearpawk · 29/06/2023 22:59

Tubing mascara.
L'Oréal double extension
Estée Lauder double wear
No 7 (I don't like the new formula though)
Nyx doll eye
M some various budget suggestions there !

Chanel waterproof, not even sobbing my heart out moves that one.

StrawberryFizz27 · 30/06/2023 06:59

Aldi good girl gone bad

muddlingthrou · 30/06/2023 07:14

Do you want length or volume? I'm a length girl, so swear by No 7 extreme length waterproof. It can withstand even my moley eyes 🤣

Do you rate the serum?

Estée Lauder Doublewear

Kiss me heroine mascara. Its on Amazon. They often deal with humid weather in japan so make good waterproof mascara.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 30/06/2023 07:25

You definitely want a tubing mascara. I've used both the No.7 and the Clinique one (don't find it clumpy though), but I really rate the Glossier one for a very natural look.

jeaux90 · 30/06/2023 08:56

@CottagePieLaLaLa I was very cynical but yes it's really really good. Made a massive difference to my lashes and I also use it on my patchy eyebrows and they are no longer patchy.

Takes about 2 months to start seeing a difference.

It was after I had been using the serous I tried the mascara, which I really love too.

Any of the max factor ones but particularly max factor masterpiece max. It ticks all boxes

shewhomustbeEbayed · 30/06/2023 16:18

I’ve just bought Sensai 38 degrees ( you can only take it off with warm water, hence 38 degrees ) I’ve tried it on for the first time today, ahead of work Monday, and am very happy with it so far, no smudging and really enhances my lashes but not tried to take it off yet !

jeaux90 · 01/07/2023 09:16

@CottagePieLaLaLa yes that's it

Shufflebumnessie · 01/07/2023 12:22

I have exactly the same issues as yourself and so far, despite trying many different ones, have yet to find the holy grail.
I've tried a L'Oreal Double Extension & Blinc, both of which are Tubing mascaras. I found that the 'tubes' flakes off with both of them.
Max Factor 2000 Calorie - this was my go to mascara for about 15 years and all of a sudden it started flaking.
Estee Lauder Double Wear - I decided to take the plunge and splurge on this as I'd heard such good things. I am so disappointed. Not only does it flake off within a couple of hours but does absolutely nothing to accentuate my lashes.
Essence - I've tried a few of these as they're very cheap but found them awful and flaking within an hour of application.

The best mascara I've found so far is Lancome Hypnose. I love the look that it gives my paltry lashes, however it isn't flake/smudge proof so I've not bought it again. I tried the waterproof version but it just wasn't as good.

If you manage to find something that actually works, please come back and update this thread as I'd love to avoid the panda look!

Saverage · 01/07/2023 20:31

I bought the No7 mascara off the back of this thread as I always have panda eyes. Gave it a trial run today - challenging conditions as it was pretty warm out and I walked a lot and was also on the hot tube 2 hours. It didn't budge.

It did give a very natural look which I'm not used to, I usually have a bit more volume and length, but I think it will be good for everyday. I'll try one of the others on this thread for evening.

Estée Lauder double wear smudge proof mascara. I have trouble getting it off! (Baby oil helps)
