Botox for 11 lines

sureigot20 · 27/06/2023 21:48

I'm provisionally booked to have Botox Saturday. I'm 36. I only want my 11 lines doing. DH not overly happy but says it's my face. Is it really worth it? I am very aware of the line, it's a permanent fixture and hate how make-up sits in it. I've attached some pics to show how it looks at various grimaces...

The person doing it is a nurse and comes highly recommended.

Yes - but I wouldn’t do just one area alone, go for three. Be mindful it usually doesn’t last as long as they say mine is gone before 3 months even with a top up!

Bex268 · 27/06/2023 21:52

Following as you could be me

DustyLee123 · 27/06/2023 21:53

Ooh, I want mine doing ! Let us know how much, and do a follow up photo.

GreenCereal · 27/06/2023 21:56

Do it! I'm the same age as you, and recently got my 11s done for the first time. Absolutely love how it looks - and I don't think DH has noticed a difference! So just don't tell him you've had it done.

fireflyloo · 27/06/2023 22:33

Do it. You should notice a big difference if it's done right.

addictedtotheflats · 27/06/2023 22:42

Absolutely do it. Although id get all 3 areas done. Mine lasted about 3 months first time but lasts longer each time ive had it done. Im pregnant at the minute and cant wait til I can freeze my forehead again😂

Scrumbleton · 27/06/2023 22:48

Go for it - I go to a great doctor for Botox, twice a year- I'm almost 60 have no 11 lines and a fairly smooth but not fine like brow

Artinsurance · 27/06/2023 22:54

I had Botox for my 11’s, and got to the stage it would last for 6 months. Stopped several years ago and never restarted. Last year, I started using The Ordinary Airgireline and it has been very effective at softening the furrow I have. Using it with Matrixyl is supposed to be even better.

Before using Airgireline, I’d have said Botox was worth it, now, I’d suggest trying Argireline and a bit of facial massage first.

Hop27 · 27/06/2023 22:55

Did mine at 34, stopped then again at 38 - now 42.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough, you'll probably need more than just your 11's done for 'balance'

Shoemadlady · 27/06/2023 22:56

Yes do it. I have those lines too and it's miraculous! You'll love it!

Have you tried retinol and vitamin c serum? Mine used to wear off after 3 months but since I started using those products I get 5 months out of it.

Thank you, everyone. I shall update you all ☺️

As others have said you may need at least 2 areas done - the 11’s and the area above it so it’s balanced. I don’t even mention to my DH when I get it done any more as he’s oblivious, it’s worth every Penny!

MamboGoddessHere · 28/06/2023 08:26

Does it hurt???

TheOGCCL · 28/06/2023 10:18

I get just my 11s done. It looks like you’re frowning in some of the pics, the resting face pic is really not bad. But it will stop it getting worse and transform your whole face, I even end up feeling my skin looks better.

sureigot20 · 28/06/2023 12:50

Here's another pic. It definitely gets worse throughout the day.

I have had my frown lines done since I was 24 (they are genetic and very deep!). No need to get other areas done if you don't feel like you need it. You will love the results

GettingStuffed · 28/06/2023 19:31

Don't have it done too young as you get resistant to it.

I'm 36. Not sure that's 'too young' - I wish!

Thanks, everyone!

I used to have 3 areas, the 11's, forehead and crows feet. Due to age I felt I was getting too much brow droop with the forehead so now I just have 11's and crows feet. Mine lasts a good 4 months and you go forget how to frown as you can't.

sureigot20 · 29/06/2023 07:57

I am having second thoughts that my 11 line isn't that bad... I am very aware of it though.
Still a little bit excited that make-up might sit nicely there

OP posts:
DustyLee123 · 29/06/2023 08:06

I personally don’t think it’s bad at all.

GreyDover · 29/06/2023 08:15

So jealous of you all!

I have a 1 line and got Botox done by a GP - it didn’t make an ounce of difference!

Greydover, the go should have offered you a review and redone it. Get a nurse who loves doing aesthetics to do it next time, Botox should always be effective (unless you get the dreaded antibodies)
