I am in the very fortunate position of going on a summer holiday this year and I have £60 max to spend on a nice summery perfume. What would you recommend? Please please no coconut.

I like:

Ocean fragrances
Some white florals
Coco Madomiselle
Fruity things
Vanilla things

But not a hint of coconut

Clarins Eau des Jardins. Fresh, citrussy and light. Love it.

veryfluffyfluff · 27/06/2023 19:53

Have a sniff at the Chanel Eaux.

Paris-Deauville is my favourite, a mix of citrus and ozone.

Jo Malone Wood, Sage and Sea Salt.

Clinique Happy

Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien or Each du Sud

Chanel Cristalle.

All crisp, summery scents.

HamHand · 27/06/2023 19:54

Diptyque eau de Sens is gorgeous for summer but a bit over your budget.
Sol de janeiro 40 spray is really lovely too, my dd got some for her birthday and it smells very summery.
Neither are at all coconutty

Same with this "The citrusy scent is blended with fresh roses that don’t smell powdery but rather floral and grassy" aparantly - ill add it to the list as it does sound nice

Nuxe Florale

It's divine. Just summer in a bottle.
Every time i wear it i get compliments.

I could bath in it - but i don't wear it everyday as i can't afford to replace it often :(

NeedToKnow101 · 27/06/2023 19:57

Issy Miyake or that Clarins one in the red bottle that isn't really a perfume.

MissBattleaxe · 27/06/2023 19:57

Zara Waterlily Tea Dress is a gorgeous airy floral and not very expensive

I like the DKNY be delicious ones. I’m wearing the yellow at the moment which is nice! Not super long lasting but I quite like that

The new M & S ones are gorgeous. They've won awards. The orange groves one is lovely and calm after the storm.

stealthbanana · 27/06/2023 20:21

The diptyque neroli is absolutely divine and I think so summery

I got Elizabeth Arden Green Tea in the duty free a week ago for €20. Used to wear it 25 years ago and had forgotten how nice and fresh it is.

I walked past a lady a few eeks ago and she smelt delicious ( if I can say that 😂 )she was wearing two scents.

Choco musk found on amazon
Body spray sol de janerio bc 62

The first one smells like chocolate but not cloying and the second one has this review on Boots.

FRAGRANCE NOTES
TOP: pistachio, almond
MID: heliotrope, jasmine petals
DRY: vanilla, salted caramel, sandalwood

garfieldeatscake · 27/06/2023 20:38

Dh gave me Elizabeth Arden Green tea recently.it's lovely, very light, slightly flowery without being sickly, with a very slight woody undertone. I love it for the summer. And then revert to to a slightly heavier fragrance in winter.
