Can anyone recommend a not too pricey balm to oil cleanser, or maybe oil, to remove sunscreen, please?

Thanks!

I really like the Inkey List Oat balm cleanser and it’s good value, particularly as it’s often on offer. Gets all makeup and sunscreen off easily. I also love the Farmacy Green Clean balm, but that one is more pricey.

For oils, I’ve heard good things about the Superfacialist oil cleanser so am going to try that one next. I also like the DHC oil and am currently loving a sample size of the Biossance squalene cleansing oil, but again that’s more pricey.

Thanks @CorneliaStreet , I've actually been looking at the DHC one on Superdrug this afternoon - there's a 30ml bottle for £4.99 so I may try that while I'm ordering a few other bits.

Came on to recommend the inkey list oat one too.

The Superfacialist Vit C oil is great and leaves my face squeaky clean ( but not dry). Smells nice too

Body Shop chamomile cleansing balm - efficient and melts mascara and make up away beautifully

icelollycraving · 16/06/2023 18:36

I use Elemis rose cleansing balm. It leaves my skin soothed, clean and comfortable.

Very hard to find but Lacura cleansing balm from Aldi. I was previously very loyal to the bodyshop chamomile one and am mourning the loss of the last of my Lacura stash. Had to go out and buy the bodyshop one yesterday. Both get every scrap of everything off.

Glow Hub nourish and hydrate balm is lovely. A tiny amount goes a long way.

Elf holy hydration cleansing balm.

I never used to be that precious over a cleanser but my god it's incredible.

I use this. Agree, it's really, really good.

My fave is the N7 for dry skin. I love a balm and have tried loads, this is the absolute best at that price point for me.

Holland & Barrett Vitaskin. It was in last year's advent calendar and I'm on my 3rd tube. I love it.

ginoclocksomewhere · 16/06/2023 19:19

My fave affordable ATM is Apothecary Revive from M&S- £12ish and it smells divine. I do like the Inkey List Oat Cleanser and the DHC oil too (I LOVE the DHC for travel!)

My absolute fave is the Elemis Neroli Cleansing Balm!

I love Emma Hardie Moringa Balm although I’m currently using the seated queen cold cream from a liberty box. I like the seated queen but it doesn’t compare to the Emma Hardie balm.

Another vote for the M&S one, it's lovely, almost finished my second tub but they last for ages.

Clinique take the day off is excellent

Another vote for this one, I’m not a fan of anything else from The Body Shop but this stuff is great.

You can just use any oil (olive, sesame, grapeseed, almond) to cleanse with a hot cloth. It's the same result and cheap as chips! Once I started doing it I never looked back, and my skin has never looked better!

Yeah this stuff is the business and a great price point.

Another vote for the lacura Aldi one!!

I've been using coconut oil for years and years and years. Nothing beats that.

bibbingo · 16/06/2023 20:04

It's not super cheap but the Elemis oil is lovely and lasts me ages.

ToThineOwnSelfBe · 16/06/2023 20:37

I've been using Banila Co. Zero Cleansing Balm for about a year and I love it. It breaks up everything I put on my face so it can be easily and gently washed awat, but it's not too greasy and doesn't clog my pores like some of the other things I tried. Make sure you're emulsifying with water after you put it on your face or it doesn't work as well. Learned that the hard way when I first started using oil-based cleansing products!

Winnerturkeydinner · 16/06/2023 20:46

I third the body shop one. I used to use Elemis but I prefer the body shop one.
