Morning all 😊
Finally caught up!

My summary:
PoW - loving her blazer & flats combo. Not loving her white stilettos though (and how the hell does she manage to keep the heels tidy? Can guarantee I'd scrap them in the only stone in a 3 mile radius)

DofE - dress with William was bloody lovely. When she gets it right, she's bang on.
Pretty much the same with QC and agree that her trying new things like the jumpsuit.

Charlene - has an amazing figure but somethings seem slightly off, iykwim. Like the stylist has just missed the mark.

Max - I ♥️ Max

And yes, you lovely lot have thoroughly cheered me up. ❤️ this thread (even if some of you like Erdem 😉)

Maireas · 17/06/2023 10:27

Now then, @locketrocket and @notsuchafrugalkitty .....have you got your tiaras ready, and a kaftan? Also, deck shoes.

Ahem...

Not quite... although I'm currently in a towel poncho thingy, crocs and a hair turban?
Not sure that quite to standard 😂

Maireas · 17/06/2023 10:31

That'll do 👍

Backtracking a bit, the Order of the Thistle has the absolute best robes. Especially when worn with the emerald Vladimir Tiara.

Excellent! All 3 Wales children. Camillia Kate and Sophie all look good in the carriages. Waiting for the Balcony shots

Papergirl1968 · 17/06/2023 11:08

I'm in awe at EBG's curtsy. With my knees I'd never get up again if I tried that, I'd just collapse at the Queen's feet in an ungraceful (is that a word?) heap.

Gooseysgirl · 17/06/2023 11:09

Got a quick glimpse of the kids as they were alighting the carriage.. the boys are in suit jackets and matching red ties, Charlotte looks gorgeous in a white sailor dress with red trim. Louis in red shorts... a la his Easter blue shorts outfit 👀 I'm saying nothing

KillingMeDeftly · 17/06/2023 11:15

Looks like we were wrong. It's Kate rather than Camilla in the mahoosive hat! The green ensemble looks a bit too 80s for my liking. Cams looks like she's borrowed a uniform from a passing grenadier guard but perhaps that's the intention.

myrtleWilson · 17/06/2023 11:18

Huw was saying on the commentary that Camilla and Kate are giving 'sweet nods' ( his words!) to their respective guards - grenadier and irish..

Papergirl1968 · 17/06/2023 11:19

Meanwhile Meghan is in California with a $5,400 Fendi bag...

Huuuuuge hat.
nice colour on PoW but not sure about the embellishments on the front? Are they brooches?

I haven’t caught up with thread yet. Heist though? Do tell? Can I join?

Louis’s shorts are lovely. Why would people not like them?! Charlotte is being dressed like Heidi these days. She is adorable, of course. And Kate looks lovely in green - the colour befitting her new role.

I’m loving the green hat but not sure about the blueish gem coloured buttons?

The military style buttons are very fitting. There definitely seems to be a theme!

Papergirl1968 · 17/06/2023 11:29

Sophie looks nice

Re Kate’s attire: 80s’ style is very now!

KillingMeDeftly · 17/06/2023 11:34

Not really, it's more 90s and early 00s that's on-trend now. Makes me wonder what's next, skinny jeans tucked into knee boots again?

myrtleWilson · 17/06/2023 11:36

Am not keen on the horizontal line of gem/buttons - I presume the blue is to link back to the blue plume the Irish Guards wear and in photos on twitter I've seen POW is wearing a gold shamrock brooch. Do you remember when she took over the Colonel role the positioning of the buttons on her coat matched the positioning of buttons on the guards uniforms... I have a vision of a mood board in her dressing room with multiple sketches of the guards uniforms and dotted lines to multiple sketches of potential outfits she could wear!

locketrocket · 17/06/2023 11:38

Not sure on the buttons/gems on PoW dress either. I think they've tried to tie in all the appropriate colours but it hasn't pulled off.

May look different when looking at her straight on.

KillingMeDeftly · 17/06/2023 11:41

At first I thought this was an archive shot of the DoE from an 80s Trooping!

FGSWhatNow · 17/06/2023 11:46

I said exactly the same, @KillingMeDeftly !

I was wondering whether the Wales children are into horses in the same way that the rest of the family seem to be? Have they ever been seen riding? Just thinking ahead another 15 / 20 years or so, George at least will be expected to take part, and I would imagine it requires a certain amount of skill / horsemanship.

KillingMeDeftly · 17/06/2023 11:48

Apart from Anne and Zara I don't think any of the late Queen's descendants are as into horses as she was!

“While Y2K and '90s fashion have been big in recent years, '80s looks are also making a comeback — particularly for 2023. This year already feels bolder than in years past with bright geometric patterns, dance-inspired looks, and more of those oversized blazers (with or without shoulder pads).
